The updates include a larger battery for the long range model along with a new battery preconditioning function that intends to enhance charging speeds in colder conditions.

Battery Preconditioning update for older Ioniq 5 designs
If you have an earlier variation of the Ioniq 5 and want to make the most of the new battery pre-conditioning function, there's excellent and bad news.
