Interesting that they’re dipping their toes into the water a little bit more.
Still a market for hybrids in the UK, so lets see how Toyota gets on

Interest in PHEVs possibly in the UK but the market share dial on HEVs hasn’t moved the needle in over 12 months (PHEVs are catching up quickly).

However BEVs easily are outpacing both at 1.5x the YTD unit growth volume of PHEVs and HEVs combined.

hybrids are really the the worst of both worlds, the high purchase price of an EV with the high running costs of a ICE, marketing has convinced a few people they’re a good idea, but that’s just marketing doing it’s job.

Oh dear – FTME should have of been a new IQ the rest are well meh. Japanese brands have really not adapted well to EV’e.

It would be a “game changer” if people stopped using the term “game changer” to bait clicks. 😏

I’d also have to say, when he talked about head room in the back and said if you were any taller than him it would be difficult but then don’t provide his height.

      This channel is a joke.

There’s a couple of Bizzy Forks in my neighbourhood. We looked at a used one and thought it was a bit meh, but clearly there’s a market for BEV Toyotas, and they’d be stupid to lose more loyal customers by not scratching that itch.
Now everyone knows Hydrogen was hopeless technology for passenger cars, they can focus on cars that actually work.

I really wish Toyota, Nissan, etc. would bring their kei cars to our shores, like the Nissan Sakura or the upcoming Honda N-One E
Maybe Toyota should bring out an electric kei car (along with Daihatsu) on the JDM, then bring it over here

As much as abhor industry for profit lobbying, tweaking regulations to truly bring more smaller, affordable and sustainable cars would be heart fully welcomed.

Shouldn’t the FT-me not be called FK-me?! As in “FK-me what took Toyota so long?”

Interesting, the C-HR+ (Toyota really needs to get some better names for its BEVs) looks like a pretty decent car, hopefully Toyota is finally taking EVs seriously and making more of an effort.

I still don’t think they’re making the effort they could be doing.

C-hr+ really does look good, shame they couldn’t have squeezed a bit more boot space. Is there a frunk?

😕🥱 how come after 13 years since the 2nd gen RAV4EV and 9 years after the Hyundai Ioniq have Toyota not managed or bother to make an ALL ELECTRIC PRIUS??

I can’t forgive Toyota for fighting for so long against EV’s simply because they didn’t had the necessary technology to compete. All the lies they perpetuated abot EV’s by their CEO and other officials made me lose trust in them and regard them with contempt.

Wish they’d stick the charge port where Tesla puts them, rather than opposite. Otherwise looks decent. 😊

So the C-HR+ is basically beaten by its competitors on almost every front then?

It would be a game changer if we could record our own acceleration noises for playback. Cars are digital devices now, some of us are intelligent enough not to accept compromises

Totally agree with the conclusion but we’ve been saying that for too long I sold my Rav4 2 years ago waiting for the solid state battery not bz4x SUV but I’m still waiting… Come on Toyota!
