Evening all and hope everyone is well. Think Max is out of control and getting to big for his boots and needs bringing down a peg or two, I know in the past with the likes of Senna and Prost they had there battles but seem a little more gentlemanly.

I think he’s always been too big for his boots. I was a Sebastian Vettel fan, we watched most of F1 races back then. Verstappen must have run into the back of Sebastian at least 3 times during verstappen’s first season. I was disgusted then with what he was getting away with, and unfortunately, he continues to be immensely immature – all that is ever said is that he’s competitive …….. yeah right!! There’s other drivers out there that are all just as competitive and don’t behave like a plonker!!!! Even the way he speaks to his team on the radio, very disrespectful in my opinion. Sorry for the rant – hit a nerve!!!

Yes black flag, deliberately put another driver at risk of a crash. No question, penalties are too lenient.

    Happy birthday!!
I turned 53 this year too. It’s a bit jarring to me, but what to do ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Max is entitled and allowed to race by different rules. But, Abu Dhabi shows how F1 is run. It’s a political joke.

Max – loses two of the points on his licence at the end of June. To me the Max / George incident – Max drove into George – seemed deliberate.

Verstappen is a disaster waiting to happen. He should’ve been black-flagged and F1 should consider further penalties.

Verstappen has been given a wide birth by most of the drivers for all his caree so far. He has been chucking his car up the inside all is petulant career and says let me through or crash! Now drivers are not going to out up with it, there will be more of these Crashtappen moments mark these words

Yes verstappen should have been black flagged. There is no room in F1 for that disgraceful behaviour (and he has a string of disgraceful moves in my opinion ) and I get fed up with his whining too. He drives like a spoiled brat in my opinion.

What Max did was the equivalent of a footballer headbutting another player, a red card, and a ban. So yes, he should be punished more than he was.

    Happy Birthday Pete 🎉

Regarding Max and his disgraceful, dangerous behaviour behind the wheel, I think the authorities are about 4 – 5 years too late in punishing him. He should have taken a ban or a points deduction before now. Not his #1 fan, like you, but that was deliberate and he’s admitted as much.

What about Charles Leclerc trying to force Max out of the way at over 200 mph on the main straight to try and get a slipstream? Far more dangerous in my opinion.

Well if Max gets away with similar…

Of course, Max shouldn’t get away with it.

What’s it going to take for F1 to realise the Verstappen is likely to be the cause of a serious accident at some point. An F1 race track is no place for the ‘road rage’ which seems to afflict Verstappen in virtually every GP for one reason or another. Be it a decision by the team during the race that he doesn’t agree with, a fault with the car, or simply a ‘racing incident’ where he thinks he’s been hard done by, he can’t stop the red mist from descending and affecting his judgment. He’s unsafe.

The problem with Verstappen is he has always been reckless when things don’t go his way . The problem is he has been allowed to get away with it for too long

Just think, F1 could become a lot more exciting now the drivers know they can get away with deliberate ramming. But on a more serious note, if you deliberately drive into another competitor (which I think we can all agree did happen) then it’s a black flag all day long. The FIA are making their bed a very difficult one to sleep in, and it’ll only come back to bite them.

in my opinion yes, intentional and should have been flagged. Should now follow up with further penalties

I know the F1 title was on the line when Schumacher rammed Villeneuve but he got stripped of his second place finish that year. Max should have at least been disqualified for what he did. He’s a law unto himself sadly.

He reminds me of the way Schumacher used to drive, dangerously and enough to make the other drivers back off and give him the edge.

The problem with Max is that he inherited his Dad’s temper.

Max gets too angry in the car.
He slags off the car all the time during the races saying its rubbish when he’s in the top 3!
It was going to happen because he can’t handle it when someone else has a faster car.
He never admits to mistakes and never been told he was wrong by his dad, another angry driver, or the Red Bull team.
He doesn’t act like a champion, he is acting like a child

He should have been black flagged IMO – this was over the line.
Overall it seems like the mood amongst all the racers and teams is unusually aggro this year. Lots of bad things being said on radio (at least what’s cherry picked for us to hear), aggressive driving bordering on dangerous, Stroll’s reported violent tantrum. Is the push for Netflix drama making things worse over time, even if unconsciously? Almost no-one seems to be enjoying what they’re doing.

  20. @idavidmcclune Avatar

This is not about Max. Anyone who deliberately drives into someone else MUST have a greater sanction than a 10 second penalty.

And all those saying Leclerc drove into Max at 200mph need to go away and have a little think about what you would do on a motorway if someone started edging into your lane. Would you continue straight and let them hit you or would you move to the side, space permitting, and avoid an accident? Max had room and time but decided it was better to have a collision. He just won’t compromise. He expects everyone to get out of his way and he’s been enabled by stupid judgements and non-penalties throughout the whole of his career. The FIA will have blood on it’s hands when it all goes horribly wrong one day.
