   Enjoyed that one! Love Goodwood. Still not totally convinced with the Emira but it looks fab! Especially in yellow but I would say that wouldn’t I? Nice shout out for @rickthespud who is in Spain with @petrolheadtours right now

   I enjoyed a track experience at Hethel with Emira but like you, the limited time really hampered any understanding of the gearbox which is very mechanical and they encourage you to push on which although good fun means more concentration than evaluation. I decided Lotus need some time to sort out customer relations which were not a strong point and after eighteen months waiting gave in to the soft top urge.

   Glad you enjoyed the Emira, I’ve had mine for 2 weeks and its the best sports car I have driven and that includes my 992 911S and the 992 GTS i recently had for a 24hr test drive, the gear box takes a few miles to get used to but when you do it’s fantastic.

    I was tempted to order one when they were launched. Still thinking about it, although the 2l turbo auto would appeal more as I’m lazy and it would be a ‘daily’ car. Interested to see how the first editions go in terms of teething problems and residuals also.

    Lotus need to let you have one for a few days as I would like to know how it compares with the boxter.

    I did the same Pete, I describe the shift as being rifle shot like, but you realise it’s a much more engaged driving experience than any Porsche. It makes you realise so much is groomed out for you in a Porsche so your grandma cane drive it down the shops. Where lotus with hydraulic steering etc is a conquest for the driver to learn.
