Agree about so many trims! My friend went to a Volvo dealer and was rather confused with the lineup, and straightaway went to a Model 3 after that.

I hired one for a couple of days back in 2024. Really nice car & a superb piece of engineering. I really liked its anti creep feature in traffic. As a tall driver I felt it was a bit too claustrophobic for me though, typically for Volvo design, the roof was low & it was all jet back inside. (I wonder what the pano roof is like?)
At £12k that’s a lot of EV for the money. Hertz had a load on their fleet & I assume those are all out in the motor trade now, which I assume will be affecting used values.

I really wanted a used one as my first car but the insurance put me off. I’d need the Harmon and Kardon sound system and the yellow seat belts for the aesthetics 😂

I have got P2 2026 Long range RWD prime pack and I absolutely love it! Bezel on the screen could have been thinner but no other complaints otherwise

We liked ours but two things we didn’t: the transmission tunnel in the back is huge and the rear seats in general are tiny with limited headroom (oh, and that silly second cupholder).

I had a 2021 model, it started to make the clicking sounds when slowing down and driving off. Its the driveshafts, this is a very well publicised fault. I sold it.

What’s included in the standard equipment and the packages also vary slightly between different model years. I used to have a base spec -24 standard range rwd. It included 360 camera, electric tail gate etc so it really was quite nice even though it didn’t have any extra options. Now I have a -25 performance with plus, pilot and climate package. In this model year the pixel leds are a dietary extra option. This car is nicer for sure and very quick but for me all models except the front wheel drive could be on option. The nicest one I tried though is the -26 with leather seat and B&W speakers but it went over budget…

I’ve had a 24 reg RWD Polestar 2 for 10 months. Great car. Standard range but still 300 miles realistically achievable in the summer. The facelift standard range is similar range to the original long range with FWD. Faster too. I wish it had a rear wiper though. I don’t have any packs but the 24 reg car does have the 360 degree camera as standard and I don’t think it misses a lot unless you do lots of motorway trips and want adaptive cruise. It definitely rides better on the 19″ wheels.

We bought a 73 reg in September for £27k less than new price. Only had 10k miles on it. Love it, far better built than the model 3 we had.

For me personally, still the best looking EV saloon out there (and hugely underrated), Polestar just simply nailed the inside and especially outside design. Hope to see Polestar keeping its design for the future and giving it just a proper, from the ground up developed EV platform (and keeping Google Automotive integrated infotainment system)!
Still dreaming of owning the Polestar 2 Performance.

I just sold my beloved RWD Polestar 2 to buy a Zeekr 7X, which made me realise what a damn fine car Polestar made. There’s a lot I miss, including Android Autmotive, driving dynamics and little things that make it so easy to live with. Ps I sold it to my ex wife and she’s going to love it!

I have a MY22 single motor standard range. Living in central Scotland I average 2.5-2.7 pkwh this time of year. In the summer it is around 3.0-3.2 pkwh. The interior space is terrible front and back in my opinion. Seats are lacking side support when hoofing it and aren’t all they comfortable on long runs. It is a driver’s car though TBF. It puts a smile on your face when having some fun due to the handling.

Regarding battery health we really need more data, I’m not really interested in a degradation test, I want to know how many batteries or other components are regularly failing and need to be replaced at a given age, I think component failure is more important that a degradation number.
To give an ICE example I would never buy a Ford with a wet belt, in the EV world I think Hyundai are off the list because of their many ICCU failures. These things are important in the used car world.

We are very happy with our P*2 LRDM AWD 25 registered with pilot and performance and BLIS and Harmon karmon sound and pixel led lights and 469hp and leather. I bought it from Polestar. It was 6 months old with 2.5 years warranty left and had only 6000 miles on the clock and had lost nearly £20k from new. Bargain ! There are a few on the website still on offer.
