Exactly, before you said it I could tell it was a ‘Subaru’ electrified.😂😂

It certainly looks better than the SUV, but overpriced for what it offers. £35-40,000 would be more appropriate.
Still, wouldn’t rule it out with either a great lease deal or once it’s reached it’s natural price in the second hand market in a couple of years.
I suspect they will provide competitive company car fleet deals to shift some of these.

Too much cheap looking plastic and too dark and at £50k. Not a chance

I could not feel anything very much about this car – neither love nor hate. However the 4WD version definitely fills a need where I live in rural Worcestershire and the resemblance to a Subaru is entirely good.

The estate comparison to the classic adventure wagon was spot on. Practical shape, roof load capacity, usable range. Feels built for actual weekends away, not just showroom appeal.

I agree with everything you say about the bz4X except the brown seats !

I thought that Toyota were rebranding the bz4x to just the bz, at least they are in Ireland. I’m surprised with the naming of this then. Missed opportunity to bring back a heritage nameplate

In North America, the 2026 models are offered as regular BZ and BZ Woodland (for the station-wagon looking one). In Japan, the 2026 version is still called BZ4x. I suspect they have to add the 4 internally because there are also China-specific models such as BZ3 and BZ5.

    I’ll go for… Nio ET5 Touring 🙂

Those integrated headrests look awful. Force your head forward and totally non-adjustable. Dreadful skimping to save a few yen. I know they’re in loads of cars, and I hate them from any manufacturer.

No V2L is a big oversight for a “outdoors” ev.

You can plug stuff in in the trunk, or is that not what you were talking about?

I think I’d avoid it. I’m used to 800v fast charging and 4m/kWh , even in winter.

Really like it but has to be decently below 50k. Otherwise why wouldn’t I get one of its competitors.

That’s not an estate, it’s an SUV, title’s misleading.

great review. useful focus on the boot space. you can load a custom rigid wheelchair into it without having to pop its wheels off!

22kw should be standard by now on all ev-s. Also does it have a lockable glovebox? Otherwise not so practical… :p
