The Audi TT is returning– however not as you understand it. Meet the Audi Concept C, a bold, all-electric roadster that hints at the TT's 2027 rebirth.

It's larger than the old TT, even bigger than the R8 supercar, and loaded with drama: razor-sharp creases, pixel-projector lights, a folding difficult top, and a grille inspired by racing legends. With its batteries stacked behind the seats, it promises low, sportscar-like driving and perfect weight balance.

Love it or dislike it, this is Audi's future design language– and it's difficult to neglect. Join Tom as he takes a close look around the Idea C ahead of its public launching.

    It looks a quite a lot like a smaller Jaguar Type 00, but that isn’t a huge surprise as Massimo Frascella designed both

    Looks amazing! I love the proportions, the vehicle concept and the simplicity of everything. Mixed with the retro touch, this thing looks better than all of the Audi Designs we have seen in recent years. For me, this is reminding me more of the first gen R8 than the first TT.

    I don’t know… the roundness of the first two TT generations were what was beautiful about them… this one seems like a boxy Bugatti roadster, it doesn’t bring enough of the legacy.

    One very sexy, smart car. This is Audi not only back on track, but moving the game ahead. We don’t want a screen that roates 90 degrees, we want one that can be hidden away. Simply stunning, Simply Audi. Well done, please make all new Audi’s in this way

    The front grill looks brutalistic. Too simple, and the whole body looks like if cybertruck has more rounded edges and in a form of a roadster.

    BUT, I love the idea of the battery position in the back like SC01, and the interior, NICE. Love It So Much The Interior. It’s luxurious, simple, not distracted with big huge screen. Really can’t wait for the final production and see the final form.

    My last four cars were Audis, but the last one I bought was in 2017. This Audi preview shows them getting so much right again after a really bad five year run. Highlights? Not too heavy 1,700 kgs; a discreet and small hideaway infotainment screen; real buttons and twirls; no shiny stuff; and simple interior as a result. The exterior looks stunning. Once again Audi are showing they can design something distinctive rather than me too.

    As an owner of both TTs mk2 and mk3 and future owner of an R8 I don’t find this electric version so appealing. I guess it all comes down to range and performance since they haven’t spoken about it yet. But I can’t imagine it will have more than 300km of range on a full charge…Or maybe I’m just wrong, if it really becomes a production vehicle, it would be interesting to see it on the road.

  18. @udayanbhanot2509 Avatar
    @udayanbhanot2509

    This is super stunning. All jaguar but without any of its ugliness, its ‘heaviness’, its bulkiness. And that front is the best of any electric car on the planet today. While the Jag looks like a hammer, this looks like a Samurai sword.

    With the car lower at the expense of higher batteries. Bragging its a sports car while loosing your handling. Makes as much sense as taking the seats out altogether and sitting on the floor to sit lower down.

    Audi – TT:
    “Back says Front”
    Concept C:
    “Front says Back”

    1. @QuelleundOrt Avatar
      @QuelleundOrt

      Yep, give the front a bit more “frontness” and keep all the Kamm-tail-edge-goodness to the back.
      Top & side view of the “new TT” differenciate already – “only just” in perspective view the front could do with a bit more of its own character.
      A bit more roundedness, a grill that is not just a rectangle.
