Tut tut, Tom, you did it again. We’re not all iSheep. Globally, there are about 1.5 billion active iPhone users and 3.3 billion active Android users, so we ‘dont all use Car Play’, lol ….. 😉

Any idea why the Inster has been pushed back to a June/July availability at dealers ?

Having never had a e-tailgate before I am loving the one on the ID7 and it is not slow compared to the previous option of mucky hands plus I can programme how high it opens !

ID7 Tourer (ordered in late November) was indeed delivered as planned on Monday and absolutely loving it especially with how cold it was this week !
A bit of a laptop of wheels with a lot of setting up and familiarisation but it smart charged first time overnight so I could commute the next day.
Has to be the worlds most comfortable car and the kids absolutely love the comfort and warmth (preconditioning) although the massaging seats freaked out my son when I launched them without telling him !

Toms view of the Xpeng was spot on. It needs to be much better than the competition to offset its lack of brand awareness. It’s no Impreza so good luck IM! And if Mike is warm now, why is he still wearing ear warmers? Hoping my i3 heater works tomorrow…

The KHH 👍, my favorite YT half hour in the week.
Over enginered . . . and still it brakes down. So better not over enginere it. It seems less likely to brake down and will be cheaper to repair IF.

Instead of a BMW i4, what about a VW ID.7? Low mileage ex-demos are starting around £35k currently. I hear they’re really good mile munchers, also Vicky approved!

As for the luxury end, I’d definitely be looking at Porsche Taycan Sport Tourismos – I recently saw a Porsche approved used ex-demo facelift rwd with pan roof and the performance battery for £77k. Impressive deal!

*Can you please ask Xpeng why they are charging UK customers £1,000s more than EU customers ? The EU is applying protectionist Tariffs and the UK is not. It isn’t because the UK is RHD because Irish customers are also being charged £1,000s less.*

I’ve been looking at the facelift Polestar 2s at just under £26k. I’d buy one if they had the plus pack which they don’t (plus pack is panoramic sunroof and Harman Kardon sound plus a few other things). I think they’re too dark inside without the sunroof. Polestars seem to drop in price massively over the first year and then only slowly depreciate.

On the Audi badging, it was EVs EVens and ICE odd numbers. As for the PHEVs, that has been “tfsi e” for a while, the only PHEV with an e tron badge was the first generation A3.

You would think charge point operators would be the ones advocating 22kW chargers at comercial premises since the additional outlay for a 22kW charge point isn’t much greater than installing a 7kW one but it would return 3 times the revenue over the same duration of use. Although DC is again much faster, the outlay for a DC charge point just isn’t viable for most businesses where charging isn’t going to generate a significant proportion of their income i.e. Forecourt or integral to their operations i.e. delivery companies with fleet vehicles
