I like the channel, but this was less about information giving than a barely disguised advert for Evios.
Would be nice to have an unbiased wall box company comparison. What each costs, can and can’t do etc.
Apologies if this wasn’t funded by evios but that’s how it looks.

    Couple of questions:
    1) If you set the charger to activate during low-tariff hours overnight, and there’s a power-cut at this time (electricity companies choose overnight for maintenance power-cuts when possible), does the charger stop working altogether, or just charge during remaining minutes of the set time – if any?
    2) I’ve heard no one address the issue of owners who use their vehicles to tow caravans or trailers. While the power of most EVs would allow towing a heavy load, surely the range would be reduced to impracticality point?

Can’t help with the first. But regarding your second question, Carwow did a video about it a while back. https://youtu.be/mmQJUW-VyRY?feature=shared

It keeps charging during the remaining minutes of set time. By the way, with a modern EV there’s such a big range that this doesn’t matter for daily driving. That one time in a few months time you really need to leave with a 100% SOC: no risk. Charge it from the moment you’re home. At 11kW you charge at around 75 km/h. That’s my experience with my Model 3. Never had any range anxiaty and super charges are there in case of…. never had to use them. I drive around 100 tot 380 km a day.

There’s a video of a guy with an electric car who towed a caravan from Scotland to Germany. If he can, you can!

What I dont get, is why most EV’s still have no V2H.
I am holding of on EV’s till there is a EV with LFP battery and V2H. That will be the real money safer.

I set my hot tub to heat up during the cheap rates at night as well as the car. Win win.

All good advice for EV owners who have different price tiers of electricity (I don’t) or who don’t have solar and battery backup (I do). I simply try to plug in when my solar output is the highest during the day.

If your car came with a EVSE charger use that and save a bunch of money. Have a 220V outlet installed. Done.

Got news for you, our standard domestic voltage is 230 volts. Not everyone lives in the States.

I had a BP charger installed just over a year ago. Recently it cuts out during a charge. For example it interrupted the charging three times in two hours. I was told by the BP pulse helpdesk, its because the 2g signal in my area is poor.
Who uses 2g in 2023, a new charger is going to cost about a grand !
