Forget the Coupe? The New Polestar 4 SUV Driven!

The Polestar 4 has constantly been an interesting electric automobile, today there's a new variation that may make more sense. Fulfill the Polestar 4 SUV– with a correct back window, more headroom, a bigger boot and a creative brand-new glass roof. And here's the surprise: it costs thousands of pounds less than the original Polestar 4 Coupe.

However is this really an SUV? And is it the electrical family cars and truck you should be considering rather of a Porsche Macan Electric, Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer or among the new age of premium Chinese EVs?

In this video, Nicola takes an in-depth look at the new Polestar 4 SUV, exploring its smooth Scandinavian styling, redesigned rear end and practical upgrades. We climb inside to have a look at the technology, rear-seat space and boot, before taking a look at the battery, variety, charging speeds and performance choices.

With a 94kWh functional battery, approximately 391 miles of WLTP variety, approximately 544hp and a 0– 62mph time of simply 3.9 seconds in the dual-motor variations, there's plenty to get thrilled about.

So, does the Polestar 4 SUV make the original Coupe redundant? Or is the sleeker design still the one to have?

Enjoy our complete evaluation to discover.

Would you pick the Polestar 4 SUV over the Porsche Macan Electric? Let us understand in the comments.

Now all they need to do is bring back buttons too

17:58 “Everything in the tent is powered by the car” as you can clearly see the extension lead plugged into the power pole rather than the car itself.

To me, it looks like the orange cable at 13:25 runs into that stand/pole, then there’s a cable for each tent running from the pole, visible at 13:40. We obviously weren’t there to see it running off the car, but it seems plausible from what they showed us. Besides, a couple of lights and electric blankets isn’t exactly a ‘heavy electrical load’.

Can confirm it was absolutely powered by the car. Car connected to the pole which connected to an extension lead to get plugs into the tent. There was no power where we were

If only these newer Polestars weren’t as wide. Over 2m is a pain in the arse for multi storeys designed around the cavalier and cortina.

Not just the width but on 22 inch wheels trying to get it up and down a helter skelter ramp in a car park will also be even harder

      10mm wider than a Tesla Y. It isn’t a big deal.

@tinrobot1746it’s almost three times that. You’re looking at the mirrors.

Speaking from experience… It’s an absolute sod. And not one you get used to either. There has been more than one occasion that I’ve left a multi storey and then found the next safest place to pull over and check for scrapes.

Love it BUT… That width makes it impractical for me in car parks and narrow lanes I’m afraid…

Honestly, your reviews are the best. Interactive, humorous and it’s a joy to watch someone who genuinely enjoys their work. Same for all the presenters on Electrifying. It’s working guys, keep it up 😎👌

3:32 ”I’M COLD”…”Sorry i cant control that in this car” voice assistant obviously interpreted that as ”Emotionally Cold” 😂Allthough it would have been a nice touch with a reply like “I’m sorry to hear that, I could find you a date on Tinder if you think that would help”

10/10 for Polestar! 🎯 Call it an SUV all you want, but this is 100% a low-slung, electric Scandinavian wagon—and it looks fantastic. That timeless Scandinavian exterior with uncluttered exterior styling and Google built-in interior hit the sweet spot 👌 I hope that with addition of the active dampers and chassis tuning honoring Polestar’s performance heritage, it’s driving dynamics back up the great wagon silhouette. I hope Polestar adds this chassis updates from SUV to the the regular 4 giving us direct BMW i3 and future i3 Touring completion!
And now Geely Group needs to put Volvo to build an EV60 estate on these bones!
Awesome review, Nicola. Can’t wait to see a comparison test between this, the Zeekr 7GT, and the Denza Z9GT! 🔥⚡

      @benjaminsmith2287

Geely doesn’t do that. If Volvo wants to built an EV60 they will. That’s the brand decision. Geely is more approving financing and talking with Volvo how to cut costs. But they don’t advise Volvo on what body styles to use.

Plus Volvo will not build on these SEA bones. Volvo now builds EVs on their SPA bones. They may make a hybrid on Geely Group platform bones, however in the future.

The main difference I notice just watching the review is how much lighter the cabin looks. The reasons for which are obvious 😅

I have a P4 Coupe and love it. Zero problems in my first 6 months with the software, which i think is probably just lucky. I have no issues with the digital mirror either, but some will struggle. Every now and again the door handles dont pop out on entry, but then you hear elecrics whirring and waking up from a deep sleep state, so im ok pressing the door handle button when this happens. I put it down to the car being like me. Some days im just too tired to be ar@ed…

Think someone needs to get over the lack of window in the coupe, having driven our 4 for 11 months it is literally not an issue at all, the view behind is crystal clear and I don’t have rear passengers blocking it!
