    Geely of course also owns Zeekr. And the Zeekr 7X is the sibling to the #5 and I would very much prefer the looks of the 7X.

    Zeekr STILL has not decided whether/when to enter the EU market though. Also, just like the #5 it’s a thirsty beast. I wish Geely would finally start figuring out why ALL their cars are such extreme electron guzzlers😢

    1. @BBingo-v5i Avatar
      @BBingo-v5i

      The Zeekr 7X will be delivered to customers in the Netherlands, Sweden and Norway starting around July. You can already preorder the vehicle in these countries. Other markets like the UK or Germany should follow at some point, but it is not yet official when exactly. The Zeekr 7 GT will also be available in Europe, estimated to arrive at the beginning of 2026, but it is not sure yet in which markets exactly

      Polestar 2 is pretty efficient imo. Its not Tesla efficiency, but not much is. Compared to most other cars, they do very well.

    4. @geraldh.8047 Avatar
      @geraldh.8047

      @@Colt16v only true for the newest models of the P2. It took several complete drivetrain overhauls for the Polestar 2 to become efficient (in the RWD version) to mostly ok (in the current AWD version). In that process they completely changed the car from FWD to RWD. Only the newest P2 has a properly built drivetrain with the motor where it should be.

    5. @Colt16v Avatar
      @Colt16v

      @geraldh.8047  had a 23 LRSM and the efficiency was pretty good. Also had Kia Niro and the new Cupra Tavascan and the old FWD Polestar was in between those two. Really disappointed with the Tavascan tbh. Picking up a new Polestar 2 next Friday, it’s a seriously good car.

    I don’t understand why being an electric car means let’s put all those screens and battery draining stuff in the car. Not sure I like the colour for that car but overall it looks nice.

    1. @MePeterNicholls Avatar

    4:56 the AMD V2000 chip is not „new“, that is just a marketing lie Smart/Geely tells you. It was actually announced more than 4 1/4 years ago and is based on the Zen 2 architecture from 2019.

    This is a positive surprise . Maybe except the range wich is bad. Quick charging is always desired but if you have to charge the car after 200km on the highway then it doesn’t help much. Beside sometimes all chargers are already occupied and you have to wait even longer so your “quick charging” doesn’t help. The biggest positive surprise is the nice interior.

    As an EV owner, I absolutely agree that charging speed is more important than overall range. When you live with them day to day, that is absolutely more important. If you’re buying a second hand EV, and I totally encourage you to, forget range and focus on getting whatever can charge the fastest.
