When you get to drive it, please let Ziggy test the boot.

Us too, we were surprised to see it make an appearance on stage without its camo!

The Epiq could the one to replace our current Kona 64kWh EV. Similar size but with better rear legroom & bigger boot & hopefully a better ride quality. It could be a bit of a “Goldilocks” type of car for us. Not sure if the 268 mile range is enough though. Real world will be nearer 220 & it probably won’t have a heat pump to help it in winter either. Need to see it in the flesh & drive it before making any decisions.

So I liked the ID Polo, and really liked the ID Cross, but this is the car I have been waiting for, I know it is compact, but I really hope that the interior is big enough for my needs, because if it is I may just buy it.

I’d love to see a head to head with the Epic and R4… Please Electrifying, I did ask nicely 😊

Would have preferred an EV Fabia rather than yet another SUV (they have 3 already)

Epiq is not coming out of Barcelona (Martorell). Epiq/ID.Cross are made in Pamplona where they already moved the Petrol Polo to South Africa.

You’re correct! Just Raval & ID.Polo are being built in Martorell. It was a bit of a hectic night and my brain got a little frazzled! Ginny

How does Skoda provide so much more leg room and boot space than other manufacturers? This smallest Skoda has a 475l boot. The Mercedes E300e only had a 400l boot despite being a much longer car. It’s ridiculous how bad other manufacturers are at giving people usable space. An oversized bonnet doesn’t help anyone.

Brands like Mercedes and Audi are about style and not substance. An old Mk3 Fabia Estate had 530 L of boot space whereas the latest 5m long Audi A6 Avant has maybe 480 L at best.

Worth being clear that this is not using any of the software being co developed with Rivian, I know a lot of people are excited about that and get confused about which will be the first models to have it. Not these.

smallest ever? they had the amazing citygo electric. I find it so sad one of the best EV gets forgotten so often and that we don’t really get truly small and useful cars any more

You refer to a possible £21,500 UK price. Perhaps, but many German cars are increased in price in the UK (not because they have to, but because they can). The higher priced Skoda’s certainly are, although the Elroq is better priced at the 85 version.

Solid state batteries will smash the market as there are only a couple of manufacturers developing them.

I like is design + proportions. Also that it has regular door handles; hopefully it will keep a couple of ol’ AC buttons as well.. thanks!

That price point is going to be pretty special.
