State hello to the Skoda Vision O– a smooth new idea that might signify the future of the Skoda Octavia as we know it. With an all-electric powertrain, vibrant new styling, and smart tech functions, the Vision O aims to shock the world of practical family hatchbacks and make Skoda preferred than ever.

It's still an idea for now, however with Skoda hinting that this could morph into a production design by 2026, we needed to take a better look. Consider it as the love child of an Enyaq and an Octavia, with a dash of style flair we weren't expecting.

Join Ginny as she gets up close with the Skoda Vision O and checks out whether this is simply an idea– or a glance into the brand's EV future.

I prefer this to the look of the iD7.

Skoda seem to have the edge on design over VW at the moment….Of course since Skoda’s good old days, they are now successful enough to hire top drawer design staff…..

This is really a completely new look for Škoda, and I actually quite like it, especially the interior is much cleaner, can’t wait to see the production Octavia based on this concept

There is an electric Octavia replacement coming in the next couple of years or so……this looks as though it may be the initial design concept….. Skoda is now the third most popular car brand in Europe, ahead of BMW….

For some reason it looks magnificent, but the front just cheapens it so much imho…
The front thin light bars don’t look like a Skoda, i get it, in a few years most likely most cars will be able to have thin light strips as headlight. But even light strips could show something other than “we look like a futuristic robot”…
Other than that, the design is spot on imho…

Not bad, wonder how much of the concept will make it production? How much will it share with it’s VAG stable mate ID7? Glad it’s an actual car and not another SUV!

Looks great but I presume it’s continuing the trend for cars getting wider? The thing I dislike most about modern cars. The other thing is weight, I am looking forward to the day when batteries become as light or lighter than a conventional drive chain. Nice walk around.

Hopefully it’s just the concept trying to look better.

I really like the relative narrowness of the Mk3 Octavia. The only EV that might be a suitable replacement for my needs is the Renault 4 and that is sufficiently wider I don’t think the passenger door will open enough on the drive.

I don’t love the “steering thing” that should be wheel. Also too much screens. I don’t like vertical orientation of the central screen. Other than that looks great. I would love to know more about the drive system and especially about the battery and charging info.

Good that škoda makes models of cars out of clay. It joins Trabant that used to send a paper model first and it could already drive!

Loving it and so happy some more sharp edges are back instead of the round curves that dominate the market these days. If the Octavia and superb electric will look like this then Škoda finally is differentiating themselves and will be recognisable as opposed to today’s elroq or the face-lifted enyaq that from far away could be mistaken for any other brand

Those rear pillars give you so much visibility, I hope they keep that. Unfortunately I feel the steering wheel is going to block that front screen so hopefully there’s a good HUD
