Have to say, I much prefer the look to the 6e to the latest Mercedes.

    Fewer cars, not “less cars”.

I had an RX-8 and loved it with a passion. Recently I had a 6 Estate which was absolutely awful. I mean dreadful car. But thanks to that experience, I bought my first electric car (Kia Niro). So, in a way, thanks Mazda for making me hate your car so much I went the oposite direction. The 6e does look gorgeous though and that colour is the best. Shame that the brand doesn’t seem to know where it wants to be.

For those who haven’t checked out other sources, this Mazda model is co-developed by Changan. It’s in practice a prettier version of the Changan Deepal SL03.
If anyone needed more evidence supporting that Chinese EV manufacturers are world-leading, here it is.

PS: The shiny dark red that Mazda sells is even nicer in person.

So in that case not very environmentally at all and China has serious labour issues (like little or no rights at all), pollution 28% of emissions are from China. Car makers sue people for bad reviews and pay for good ones. Also China is a dictatorship so buying just supports the Chinese government as parent company is mainly owned by them.

It’s a Changan Deepal SL03 with some Mazda styling elements. Look it up, you will see it’s the same inside and out.

@@ciybersal9833 It’s based on the Changan Deepal SL03, yes. And Mazda has a stake in Changan. And besides redesigning the car, Mazda has also tune the suspension and driving for the European market and, of course, done quality control. So no, it’s not the same inside out and it’s not just some Mazda styling elemants.

It’s a shame the reviewer didn’t mention this, as you say it’s a rebadged Changan as part of a joint partnership deal. I doubt Mazda makes much money out of this, and I see Ford also has a partnership with Changan too. When do you think Mazda will go bankrupt?

It’s a stop-gap car for Mazda to fill the gap until they bring out a proper Mazda EV that can compete in the market. Assuming they don’t go bump first!

@@geoffhemingway3926This can compete in the market? That’s obvious from the many reviews.

I have a petrol 6 and love that – the liftback style is what I like so much. Delighted that this exists. The id 7 is too expensive for me.

Its a good looking sedan, which we need more of. But they need to add an AWD version with at least 350HP.

Definitely dropped a clanger with the boot lid being in line with the bumper. Tesla had to sort out the same issue with the old Model Y to the new Model Y.

A friend bought a new Mazda 6 in 2006, within 75 000 miles and 5 years it was a complete rust bucket, with the front wings falling of its fastening points and the front strut mounts completely rusted through.

You’re right, this is quick enough, but niggles? After driving a Tesla, this would feel like the gas pedal was broken 😂 and you spent forever trying to use the wipers and the charging tech is ten years old…. but at least it’s red
