We’ve had so many teasers and barely disguised camo shots that I could’ve sworn we’d already seen this car revealed

@Electrifyingcom You’ve not even driven it and tested the range in cool weather so how can you agree. Can’t take this channel too seriously. Doubt it will be best in class. 280 miles with the 52Kw battery? I doubt it. German makers are always way out on claimed range. Shame they went with 52KW instead of the 59KW. Plus the top model with a heat pump and all the tech meeds to be at least on par with the KIA EV2 on price. But given how much the low rent ID3 is, I doubt it.

@EdU-od5ecThey did drive it in another video a while back. Although it may have changed slightly since then, but just letting you know 😊

@EdU-od5ecthe comment you answered to was about the design… which either you like or don’t. No need to test the car in certain conditions to agree on that, right?

@EdU-od5ec WLTP isn’t ‘claimed range’, it’s a standardised test. Yes, it may be difficult to achieve in real road journeys by non-expert drivers, but then so is WTLP mpg (60mpg petrol, 80mpg diesel, or 150mpg PHEV!)

Looking at this, the only thing they seemingly REALLY have to work on now is a much, much better anti-reflective coating for the screens. On one hand to reduce fingerprint smudging but also to reduce glare from the sun and other lights. Even in this environment, you could see quite a lot of reflections from the interior and the camera and hand movement.

Also, once out, I want this car to go head to head with the Hyundai Iqoniq 3, Kia EV2, Skoda Epiq, Cupra Raval, Leapmotor B05 and perhaps the Nio Firefly. A big “battle of the smallish cars”.

It’s been 51 years since the VW Polo was released and I remember my dad getting one immediately and I always loved that car. My first car in 1985 was my mum‘s hand me down 1977 VW Polo so hopefully when it’s released in the UK I’ll be able to get one in red and be reflectively satisfied. This review and Nicola’s from awhile ago has definitely sold me.

I hope the ID 4 or whatever they might call it later on, will have similar features as well. I don’t expect the retro vibe features to be in it too, but a nice option to the gauge look.
