Oh my days Peter! What a car! I had goosebumps as you pulled it out of the garage. 😍
Sadly not many people will get to own one, let alone drive one.

It’s so nice, so bespoke, and so expensive and rare that even if I could afford it, I’d have too much anxiety driving it

The way you describe the cars you drive is so good, as if we were there. Very passionate and honest evaluations. Would be so cool if you, Chris Harris and Matt Watson did a Top Gear/ 5th gear type of show together.

@@PetrolPedhow’s the clutch action? I’ve heard it’s unfortunately way too heavy and spoils the car driving experience, is that true?

You should now ask for the “T” version to see if 50% cheaper is half as good.

Some people might say you can’t compare them because of the engine, but I’d agree, a manual T would probably give you more than 50% of the overall experience. When you think how often you get to or want to use the 9000rpm, I’d save my money even if I had it!

Got to admit, It’s an intoxicating recipe – a race car for the road really, but that isn’t nice half of the time!

I was looking at the 991.2 T but ended up going for a standard Carrera with more creature comforts in the end.

Flipping heck, that number plate must be worth a tidy sum also. It must be an absolute honour to be entrusted with what is obviously Porsche UK’s flagship car.

One of the best reviews I’ve seen thus far of my dream car. It’s so hard to describe the way this car drives, but you do about as well as humanly possible, especially given that words are a terrible substitute for the real experience.

The 992 is to me the best looking Porsche since the cars of the 70’s & 80’s. Forgetting the limited numbers of this version, I would happily take the spec, colour, wheels and interior of this car in a non limited edition 911. I may perhaps change to the PDK but its not a deal breaker.
Ackerman hop is a thing that many sports cars suffer from, my 2019 Vantage on the P-Zero tyres does it but s friend changed recently to PS4S on his Vantage and it stopped the hop.

    1. @PetrolPed Avatar

There’s no better driving sensation than banging through the gears of a well sorted gearbox and hearing the engine sing down a well paved twisty B road. The nearest I’ve come to this was when I had an S2000, hitting the 9000 rpm redline in that was pretty awesome, albeit in the dry!
