WESTFIELD are BACK ! – First Drive of the ALL NEW Westfield Se NA R-T

In 1990 I has a traveler ride in a Westfield seven. The drive redefined what vehicles meant to me and made me fall in love with Westfield and the '7'. Westfield went onto receivership in 2021 but an opportunity conversation with a mate and I discovered they are back and have a brand name new vehicle. I meet my good friend Ed and he talks me through all the information of the Westfield Se.NA R-T before I take it for a drive. My very first drive of a Westfield!!

    Cool! Love the attention to detail. I’m not normally a fan of grey cars, but with the orange seats, it looks phenomenal!
    Nice to know it’s designed so taller drivers can easily fit!

    This car is what driving is meant to be a , sunny day you and machine lightweight and that noise . Modern heavy soulless cars have lost this way . Great to see Westfield produce this beauty

    I was lucky enough to be invited to the factory by Nigel, Ed and the team for a sneak preview of the new car a few weeks ago.
    As a long time owner of a Westfield myself, it’s obvious to see how far the quality and engineering has moved under the new teams stewardship.
    Loved the review! Your grin says it all, bring on 255bhp version!

    Hi Ped
    Loved this one, brought back so many memories of the “7”, and the whole ethos. My own car many many years ago was purchase of Lotus 7 Big Valve Twin Cam, which was on Lotus stand @ racing car show, just weeks before Caterham bought the rights. Always admired Caterham & Westfield keeping the original Chapman ethos alive and available to as all but enthusiastic following. This reincarnation deserves success and I wish them well.😉

    Brilliant to see Westfield back in business and with a completely new, modern version of the classic 7, how things have progressed since I owned one some 15 years ago. Glad I kept the number plate WE57 FLD, you just never know!!

    Built my Westfield SEI over three years from 1991 to 1993 drove it for a few years and unfortunately has been in the garage sitting unused for years due to family life and other car projects…never knew Westfield had gone bust – watching this makes me want to get it back on the road before I am too old…😀❤️
