    I just learned how to do a selfie last week, for an ID card. Not sure camera on a vehicle is needed. The Car Wizard did a cam on his daughter’s cheap HondaAcura SUV yesterday, it controls loads of crap on modern cars. Why?

    Nice video as ever Pete. Ive just had my own car fitted with front & rear dash cam. I notified my insurance as the installation is hard wired too like yours. I believe as its hard wired insurance companies see this as a modification.

    Awesome video Ped and Dan. I had been considering doing this myself too so this gives me total confidence to call Dan or leave well alone to another professional. No chance I’m risking that! I can see it now if i do it ….. broken clips, wiring faults, shorted out circuits and loud flashing alarms………… 🤣🤣🤣

    I installed my dash cam in 5 minutes… tapping into the rear mirror/light – Hyundai.. no, it’s not 24/7 or rear facing but.. that’s all I need…

    A question: if the windshield needs to be replaced how much of an issue is it to remove and return the camera (after replacing windshield)? Nice camera, btw.

      Super easy. The 70mai camera comes with a spare sticky pad. Just pull the camera off the old screen and stick it to the new one once installed 👍

    Great video and very helpful for so many. I have front and rear cameras fitted by Halfords, who did a lousy job and wired it incorrectly causing a flat battery several times. I had a professional rewire it correctly and got him to also put a cut off switch in the center console, which when connected has a blue light showing, otherwise its fully shut down. This can be useful when you dont want to have the camera on when out of the car, say when parked inside your own garage, or off for a week or so in the car park to save draining the battery,

    Hi Pete, I’m on the verge of buying my first dash cam and often hear of issues of interference to the DAB radio from rear dash cam, has this been an issue or how is it avoided, does it have a ferrite noise suppressor? Thanks.

    OBD port works ideal if you don’t want to fiddle with electrics. All the benefit of power when parked up and battery protection.
