I do not think there is much doubt that on paper the Porsche 992.2 GT3 Touring looks like one of the very best 911s ever made. It definitely drives that method! Nevertheless I believe it has a big problem so I spent a week with it and share my ideas in this in-depth evaluation.

    I never thought the day would come but i’m getting a bit… unexcited by all these new 911s ? I don’t know why. I’m sure they’re amazing. Maybe there are too many models and the “special” models feel a bit less special than they used to. A bit more… marketing driven.

      Yeah – them been unobtainable to the average buyer, makes them irrelevant… I’ll just stick with my old 997 version….hoping to get it back on the road after a long break due to house renovations taking all my time and money😮

      The electronics, insulating materials, filters, and mufflers create an invisible wall between you and the vehicle, which on one hand makes it faster but on the other distances you from the core of the fun, which is the rawness and connection with the mechanics. Personally, if I were looking for just rawness and mechanical thrills, I’d go for a Caterham 7, a GT3 Touring is a daily car.

    I had some fun with the configurator . I chose the Carrera 2 S and added some options. Came to about £125,000. An enjoyable experience , despite being a total fantasy .

    Great vid, loved the production 👍. You might find hidden in the manual, that it actually has launch control – my manual 718 Spyder does – traction control on, clutch down + 1st gear, floor the accelerator, revs hold at 5k, dump the clutch and off you go – I’ll give you a demo on May 5th 😁

    Great video Ped. Think for most the T would tick all of our Porsche boxes…..However, IMHO, you still can’t beat the Spyder for B road thrills …I need to get back into one soonest.
