Good little city car. Amazing that £20k is now cheap, makes me feel old!

You would struggle to find a new car, of any fuel type, under £20k these days.

I bought my last and still current Car factory ordered split new to my spec. The same version of the Car sold today is £15k more now. Inflation hits hard.

They could have done so much to get that price down, £20k is a crazy price for a bottom of the line car.

Love it. Really honours the original too. I still remember a line in the Autocar review of the Mk1 Twingo that said the interior acoustics were perfect.

I really like this car, a very good city car. Renault (and Alpine) is really making a lot of very compelling cars! The green and mango colors are the way to go.

Renault make by far the best looking EV’s now and there very well priced and built in Europe.

As with the R5, this is how you damn well design a new version of an old model!
    Ford take note.

Renault’s “joie de vivre “ design really shows how confident the company has become. Their DNA shines though with lovely design cues
Pity this car is limited to the cities and short distances

It definitely needs a canvas sunroof to get really into the spirit of the first generation Twingo.

That will be available on Renault 4 next year I believe. Already available in France.

26.6kWh battery is a sales killer of this cute little car with huge potential.

Not at all if all you will use it for is commuting to and from work, or popping around the city on errands.

Extended trips, yes, you are correct! I’ll take the 2nd car, the ICE or a bigger battery EV instead!

If you use it for what it’s been designed for, it’s a great replacement/update for the original! If you venture further often and have no other vehicles, it’s not for you!

Renault have nailed it’s use case! Towns & cities only!

Brilliant Pete! I’d guessed you were going to Paris to see the new Twingo! You’re the first reviewer I’ve watched on this, and I must say you have highlighted what makes it so desirable perfectly ! Fiat 500s, Insters, beware, here comes the cutest car ever! Love it! Cheers, Tom.

I was born three days prior to the original being unveiled in Paris. I’ve always had a soft spot for the Twingo being a Francophile, seeing them on holiday and thinking how we will both age together. It’s an absolute no brainer for me as a daily car… Une en jaune, s’il vous plaît.

Legacy Car companies this is how you do it. This is Renault absolutely smashing it out the park. New battery tech in the next gen of this will be impressive probably double the range for little or no extra cost. This reminds me of when I learned to drive and friends had first Cars of Polo’s, Pandas, Fiestas and Pugs and Citroen and we loved them and had a brilliant time. “Genial” the small fun hatch…..

looks great…was worried it was going to grow too much, but seems to have been kept small enough – Renault showroom trip will be about debating this or 4 or 5….

Loved the old twingo as a concept. Did some bodywork on one once and I hope the new one is a bit ‘stronger’. Happy the bonnet and windscreen is in one strait line again. Brilliant!

Split rear sliding and folding seats like the mk2 and the external design of the mk1. Genius Renault
