Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo – Does a Bike Carrier Effect Range ?

As a cyclist I will typically evaluate the baggage area of a cars and truck by attempting to fit a bike in. the boot. My favored transport choice for my bike is to either utilize a roofing system installed or 2 bar installing cycle provider. I invested a week with the most recent which had actually a rear installed cycle carrier. I thought I would evaluate to carrier to see if it effected the range over a longer journey.

    The Panamera Turismo was dropped from the Porsche Range last year, I am fan of the Paint Colour 😊

    The original Mk1 Smart car had an OEM bike rack that fitted to the rear of the car. Very clever and ahead of its time. If people asked me “what car do you drive?” I would give them a clue…..
    “It’s a lightweight German, rear engined, turbo charged model, with a flappy paddle auto box”

      @@PetrolPed Thanks! I’m seriously considering a CPO Taycan and trying to decide on sedan or Cross Turismo. Trunk with better visibility out the back, or hatch with an easier load-floor? Obviously the sedan is more popular, but I’ll be coming from a mid-sized SUV with a hitch rack for my e-mtb’s so your review/test was informative. Is it safe to assume the Porsche bike rack fits both the sedan and the Cross Turismo?

    My home charger costs 8.5p per kWh on my current tariff. A half tank between 00.30 and 05.30 costs £2.70. I usually go 30-80% as and when required. Haven’t used the charger for 3 weeks because it has been really sunny, so topping up off the solar panels.

    The reason the colour is called ‘Provence’ is because down there in South of France the fields are full of Lavender plantations.

    The Cross Turismo looks so much better than the saloon car, I wonder why Porsche bother making it?! The paint colour I suspect looks better in sunshine rather than UK grey skies. Taycan depreciation is said to be as steep as that hotel’s electric charging cost..? That was a shocker! At least you can buy a used Taycan (as you mentioned) and save money there!

    Always been a fan of a shooting break. Like the old M Coupe what a great looking car that was. This sport turismo looks very nice! Do Porsche do a similar bike carrier for the Macan? Great video as always!

    If you have expensive e-bikes they come with battery angle-grinders, Pete. Really heart-wrenching to see the girls together on the back seat.
