Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years – Perfect 911 or Too Fast and Dull ?

Porsche have been making 911 Turbos for 50 years. They are alway the most effective and fastest 911s in the range however are they too quick and too excellent. Does that distract from the driving experience? I recently had the 911 Turbo 50 Years Scandal sheet to go to @JoeAchilles1 wedding. While I had the cars and truck I merely needed to let you know my ideas.

Unfortunately we just saw Joe drive this over the weekend. Nice interior. Exterior, I’d go without the graphics and guards red or gentien blue.

I enjoyed watching the video, one of the best Porsche Interiors as I particularly like the Tartan fabric that features 😊

    The interior @ 9:29 reminds me of a 1980`s Ford Fiesta😊😊

Now that is a car. What a rapid take off, although watching that reminds me I can try launch control in my next car incoming on Friday, Puma ST with Performance Pack it just won’t be as fast but is a lot of fun. The weather looked brilliant in the film it’s so easy to forget what summer is like when we are in winter but I guess it will come back.

I am not a 911 fan, and not a tartan interior fan. However, I do like this car outside and in! 😍

Thanks for the video Ped, epic car….perhaps a little too much for our potholed and congested roads mind. Don’t tell Joe, but I preferred your review (he spent too much time doing the 0-60 bit…)

They are epic cars, really enjoyed your review as well as Joe Achilles. Had my 992.1 turbo cab for around a year and love it, useable, fast, beautifully made and great to drive. Had a GTS and GT3, but honestly as a road car these things are superb. A pre registered turbo is also less than a GTS hybrid, I know which I prefer

It is just breathtaking beautiful. I have never driven a turbo so can not compare on the weight over a “normal” 911. Some 25 years ago I had the pleasure to try a 911 Carrera for a few km. The stickers are very nice in my point of view.

A year ago I went to test a 718 Spyder, fully expecting to buy it. I ended up with a 991.1 Turbo S cabrio! 🙂 Do love the car you reviewed.

Wunderbar!! What a car! Love the ‘gingham’ seats 😅It’s always been a supercar killer and none moreso than today. But, I’d still go GTS for my daily due to it’s relative usability. Looking forward to when you drive the dot2

OMG Pete, what a car!! I’ve also seen Jo’s review. (he got 2.41 to 62 mph)!! This is my lottery winner go to! Cheers, John.

    1974 – the year I was born. I prefer the 70s & 80s 911s but they’re all incredible. Maybe I should get a ‘74 model so I can track who’s parts wear out sooner – mine or the car’s.

Would love a Porsche Turbo S in a PTS colour and a bespoke purple leather interior like in the 993, with body coloured seat backs.
