Some driving schools already using only automatic ICE cars or EVs in my locality. (Edinburgh catchment area) Seems to be a growing trend.

Sitting in my hotel Swiss in Geneva after having been on the paddle boat around lake Geneva.
I firmly believe that learning to drive a manual is the best way to learn to drive even if you buy an auto.
If you can drive a manual you can just about drive anything small trucks included.
And if you rent a car in Italy or Greece you are sure to get a rental.

My brother used to do the Le Mans weekend every year with Scooby boys. He had an old 60’s green Commer campervan that was filled with beer and hifi speakers. Bunch of very funny lads and a good time had by all.

About the Le Mans, i am super gutted that I happen to be away next weekend and won’t be able to watch it, it’s a tradition that me and my dad try our best to watch it through the night (but inevitably fall asleep). Having never been to Le Mans, my favourite Le Mans story is that at the end of a Beaulieu meeting 5 or so years ago (not sure what meeting) and all of the stands were packing up and a guy had some Porsche Le Mana books going spare. These books I think were an artistic tribute to the year Porsche for a 1,2,3 in Le Mans. So he gave me one for free so I thought that was pretty cool!

Sorry I haven’t been here in a while as well

Evening Ped and All, I’m finding F1 a turn off tbh but Moto GP, IOM TT and Le Man’s 👍 brilliant as ever.

I went to Le Mans in 1985. Went in my new Caterham Super 7. 2 of us tent, sleeping bags etc packed in. Great weekend. I still have the Caterham. 38 years of sterling service.

You’ll be at Le Mans in a sense. I shall be sporting a ‘leader of the pack’ t-shirt! 😂 I’ll be leaving the cayman at home and taking the model 3 perf, as there are 4 of us so first trip with charging involved 😬

Evening all.I think if I was learning to drive now I would still learn on the manual because then you are not restricted on what you can drive.Friday sounds great, looking forward to that.Enjoy Italy.

Re Isle of Man TT, this is the first year I’ve bought the TT+ pass and it is brilliant, and great value for £20 for the whole event with everything shown live and also available as replays !

Yes Pete fully agree…… 2nd title will be won by the Dutch kid. Lewis will be with Merc & their improvements as well as the Lewis/Fernando face off are the only things worth following now.

As for what I’m up to…. finally got hold of our 1st G87 M2 & have been pondering just how bad those butt cheeks are 🤦

    Enjoy Rome….. epic city 👍🏻

My advice fir what it is worth, anyone learning to drive go for a manual, and then on passing test you can drive both. You can tell your grand children what fun you had in a “proper” car.😉 Love Le Mans, both 24 hr & Classical must for the to do list. Hoping to catch up with your latest outputs next week when we return from holiday after month away.😎😎

I fell asleep watching the Grand Prix as well!
I know there were DRS overtakes, but I still nodded off…
If I was learning to drive now, I’d still learn in a manual, although now I drive an Auto, I wouldn’t go back
Looking forward to the Ireland Tour

My “Le Mans” Story… I was there in 1984 working for a team running a Lola T610…. We didn`t last too long but it was one hell of an experience… The Old Pits were there so I have walked in the steps of Steve McQueen…. How cool is that??? Ohhh Yes the “Hawaiian Tropic” Girls were there!!!!! :-)))

I work in motor manufacturing, when I first started 20+ years ago it was mainly manual, now most of the ice cars we build are Auto.

My Le Mans story happening now, watch after a day watching first practices at Arnage and the Dunlop bridge. Amazing weather, exciting to see the cars including a massive shunt late in the day

Evening All, definitely learn to drive in a manual, this will keep your options open to drive old or new motors. Where are you know, well I was out yacht racing in Portsmouth Harbour when th mw180 streams, so have to watch it later in the evening.
