Making and Insuring the Ultimate Restomod – Thornley Kelham European RS

I was welcomed to visit Thornley Kelham by a buddy of mine. I had no idea what to expect but it is safe to state I had my mind blow when I got there. Extraordinary craftsmanship and I got to learn whatever you require to learn about their European RS and how to insure such unique vehicles.

The finish on all the cars looks incredible, but as a Porsche fan there’s some aspects I think don’t feel quite right. The front wings look a bit too flared, the profile of the rear arches is a bit odd side on, and the door mirrors need something a bit older looking, rather than 964 ‘style’ areo ones.

The wheels are just too wide as well…and the angles of them??….no doubt it works but it just looks a bit overdone. 😬

Your recent Friday videos are becoming ‘drooling Fridays’…! From a workshop that sounds like a character in a detective TV series, what a delicious selection of cars, clearly finished to perfection. Are these Friday videos meant to coincide with Euro millions lottery days…?😊

Thornley Kelham’s cars have been the highlight of so many recent London Concours. The Porsche was in last years show together with anther next to it representing the starting point. My choice to drive home would be the Lancia Outlaw when complete!👍🏽

@7:15 _Classuc Custom_ is a term l coined in ’85 for the cars l was putting together with stock bodies, and shall we say visual and mechanical upgrades.

Hello Peter…some of my ultimate dream cars there…the Lamborghini is my all time favourite but mine can only be orange or Lime Green. The Lancia…again a car that can get overlooked but was far ahead of almost anything else in period…and I need an 😮Aprilia to go with it. Not sold on the Porsche looks to be honest…just too over styled and crazy wheels but I respect the work and engineering that has gone into it. They can restore a car for me anytime..but the cheque might well bounce!! 😮😮😅😅
