    Not in the market for a convertible 911 as they look a little awkward to me, but I’ve always desired a Targa GTS, despite all their compromises. They are expensive though, so will have to keep hold of the GT4 for now. 😊

    The trouble with 911 shopping (regardless of the variant) is there are SO many options and ways to spec them, you end up waiting and waiting for the spec you want.
    Then THE ONE pops up with your dream spec, at WAY more than you think it should be selling for.
    You contact the dealer casually, but they know it’s the only one on its kind art that time, and play hard ball!

    However, they do initially put their cars up at a ‘fishing’ price. Anyone enquiring too soon after a car goes live will meet a stoney resistance to negotiating, as they know you’re keen.
    This only lasts a few weeks, when they reduce a bit and they’re more amenable to talking turkey after 6-8 weeks.

    Great MW180👍. I love the Lotus but still see it nearer to its launch price than £90k. I’ll look forward to seeing what 911 comes along. For me, I love the searching bit. Though as you say, it’s not as easy as you would think. I’m still on the lookout for a spyder but I’m going to be pretty fussy 😂. I’ll look out for you at LeMan but it’s pretty busy there these days. I’ll dig the t shirt out again 😂

    New Emira pricing is definitely punchy. I remember paying for my demo Sport 410 Exige and questioning my sanity. Thankfully it wasn’t a bad place to put my money. But given values of Emiras so far, you have to be looking at £30-40k loss over 3 years on a new one now. Too rich for me. I’d take a 718 Spyder (in Gentian Blue please). All academic as not allowed any more toys. 😊

    I watched most of the WEC at Qatar live – it was awesome !
    I do online Sim Racing on Le Mans Ultimate in the Ferrari 499P, currently 2nd in the Hypercar fixed championship and 3rd in the Mixed (Hyper, GT3 and LMP2) Endurance league (2 hour races). Really excited for F1 and WEC this year 👍

    If I was a betting man, I’d be putting a few quid on Piastri for this coming season. Really like his style and temperament and his underlying speed is unquestionable. Loving the WEC also – we’re definitely in a golden era of sportscar racing, so we should all enjoy it!
