Ah a proper car! totally insane ….Great vid thanks, I worked and managed at Ascari in the early years…. before that working on GT40’s etc….. I’m so glad you have experienced this type of car…. until you drive them you will never understand! no modern car will ever be as raw and brutal as these…. my fave memory was of driving a race prepped hillclimb cobra on the road! will live with me forever! keep the great vids coming πŸ‘πŸΊ

Wow it will be very very hard to top that car for the sheer drama and sound track .
I think this is one of your best videos Pete well done sound levels were perfect and the emotion of driving a car with such provenance on the road you’ll be grinning for months and picking the flies out of your teeth.πŸ˜πŸ‘

Love those wheels! 60-70’s is IMO one of those golden era in industrial designs when it comes to cars and watches

Saw several T70 Coupe’s race round Donnington Race Circuit back in 2009. Simply stole my heart..What a Car, what a sound.😍😍😍 Unfortunately I’m 54 and over 2 ft wide and weigh 18 stone. It doesn’t really fit me any longer. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Great video, what a car! Like you CanAm was one of my favourite series, combination of brute force with immense control and innovation. In this case, being road legal is fascinating on the basis it is relatively controlled with a hint it may bite at the first opportunity. Thanks to you and Oliver for one of your best episodes πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

For me, 60’s racing was the pinnacle of cars vs technology. We’ve learned a lot about creating efficient engines and aerodynamics since then, but the rawness of those cars and the skill required to drive them…that’s my jam. Love that you had this experience of driving a T-70. Also, a 400hp small-block Chevy is no slouch, won’t have DOHC revs, but plenty of torque!
