Living with the MS-RT Ranger – I NEED this truck in my life !

2 years ago I invested 6 months living with the MS-RT Ranger I loved it so much I nearly purchased it. Now there is a new MS-RT Ranger for sale and I have actually been living with it for the past month. It has strong looks, a more effective engine and a more elegant interior. I need this truck in my life!

How they make the MS RT Ranger.

    Ped, it’s bouncy because it’s expecting a “load” in the back, it’s a pick up and therefore set up to be accommodating/smoother with a load on.

    Had a new 2 litre ranger for a year now and I love it. 33mpg, great on the motorways and eats potholes. Very practical with a roller shutter and find it easy to park. Can’t believe how much I enjoy this vehicle.

      Have heard much good things about the 2.0 ttdi engine, is it quite on on the motorway. Cheers from me in Norway

    I’ve got the vw Amarok version, of this. The Amarok has a much higher quality interior and seats and I think is more attractive on the outside too. The engine, drive train are identical. I’ve had it 12 months now and I don’t think there is a better vehicle for my needs, absolutely love it.

    Great truck, but it’ll spend more time at the dealers having recalls sorted than in your garage. I had a Ranger Raptor.. total POS.

    Pete, what about the four wheel drive? Is it full time 4WD, does it have locking diffs, is there switching between 2WD and 4WD, does it have low range transfer box? What about a trailer brake controller, tow hitch back up assist, trailer weight calculator, all these make a difference when choosing a working truck.

    23mpg is shocking, I’m averaging 40mpg in my X5 40d. I like the styling on it and the seats look nice but i think it would look better with a lift kit and 33 or 35″ tyres. Each to their own though

    Extremely disappointing that it has the 3l diesel instead of the 3l petrol, why?
    All the extra maintenance / running complexity of a modern diesel when you could have a more powerful petrol engine.
    It just doesn’t make sense to me in this application.

    1. @PetrolPed Avatar
      @PetrolPed

      What extra running complexity and maintenance ? Put AdBlue in it and a slightly difference maintenance schedule.

    Great idea but it’s a truck designed for the trade, so why dress it up like a fancy Range Rover that never sees any mud, there just a status symble and then there the price and the economy which is pants in my opinion, but if you have the money and you feel you need to keep up with the buckets then haho, but great video love what you do 👌👍

    Come on Pete, a number of recent reviews have shown rear leg room to be appalling and you’ve either not mentioned it or been……very generous with your assessment. IN this it’s shocking, even taking into consideration your considerable legs lol.

    I’d consider this far more utilitarian than a new Defender. That thing is far too “soft” imo for farming etc. This is far better and cheaper.

    As far as the ride goes, do a Jeremy and out a load of bricks in the back!

    1. @PetrolPed Avatar
      @PetrolPed

      I sat in the back so you could see it was cramped and mentioned the room wasn’t great. What more would you like me to do 🤷‍♂️

    For 60k you may as well get a Raptor, much better ride and more power.

  17. @stephenmitchell2979 Avatar
    @stephenmitchell2979

    Basically a lowered Raptor, no roof bars and not as capable, but the same price.
    Cant see them selling many with the tax changes.

    Should be a gas engine with more Horsepower. Diesel in a Sport Truck is an oxymoron in my opinion. The suspension should be changed as well to coil springs.

    61K for a pick up! cars are stupidly priced and you would be stupid to by one these days but will be good for second hand prices as no one can afford new cars now
