Congrats on the A290! Cracking car. Can’t tell if I like the A290 or the R5 more design wise; but the Alpine is obviously the more fun drivers car of the two.

I wish we had access to fun EVs like the 290 in the US. A round trip to my nearest town is 40 miles, sport mode it is! Love the grey color.

You bagged a good one there !

On the charging cost – I was lucky with timing and managed to fix at 3.5p kWh for 12 months,. so less than 1 pence a mile to run a massive 340bhp SUV (BMW iX). Less than £100 for 10,000 miles 🤩

I have that 220hp, 300nm torque motor in my Renault Megane Etech. However the A290 is smaller, has a smaller battery and about 200kg lighter.

It needs a panoramic roof and cup holders

If you get the mpkwh on the dash. Push down the silver bar on the right side of the steering wheel. That will zero the computer, which will allow for your use and the warmer weather.

Love this car and love the R5. My aspiration is to buy my wife an R5. She loves them and takes her back to her first car which was an R5, albeit 10 years old when she got it in the early 90’s. The new R5 looks awesome, as does this new satin Alpine. You really are living the dream Pedro.

Took it for a short test drive – can tell it’s going to be fun!

They look great, there’s no denying and if I was in the market right now then I would be taking a test drive. As it happens that would mean giving up our BMW i3S which although a 2020 model has a very similar size and performance but a slightly shorter range of approximately 160 miles. Even though the i3 is a quirky it is looking like an older design compared to the new Renault but that’s what design does, it moves things along gradually changing the goal posts. Right now it would take a great deal to tempt us out of the i3S, especially as it sits on 20″ rims and is red over black, which is a rare colour combination. For new people to the electric market the Renault is a great choice and as manufacturers they should be applauded for their design & execution.

Loved the Blue against the spring green and yellow fields 👍👍- looks like a fun second car- a trip to the sakes will be a good video 👍

Blue for me suits the car. Range is a concern though I would want at least 300 miles on an EV.

You have to be realistic with vehicles of this size – small car, small battery. If you want 300 miles you’ll need a bigger (more expensive) car.

Bring in the next generation of batteries. Slashing recharge times will be a game changer.

I’m biased , as own a Matt grey one and absolutely love the colour. Range isn’t great, but have used to it now, especially now temps are warming up. Apart from the power, it was the interior quality which makes such a difference over the R5
