I Bought My Porsche 718 Spyder For This Drive Tour…BUT WHY ?

I have actually been hooked on Drive Tours for the past 5 years or two. Everything began on a trip run by GT Tourz for SCC Private Members. Considering that I took delivery of my Porsche 718 Spyder I have been looking forward to providing her the ultimate test. Over 2,000 miles on a few of the very best roadways in Europe.

Peter. I think you should wear a hat in that sun. Even with one on the Red Rock Road I managed to get heat stroke which is not a pleasant experience. I am envious of that drive tour which I could only do if I win the lottery because it’s a very expensive tour

I always have a hat with me. When you consider all meals, ferry, car transport back and a track day it is good value πŸ‘Œ

@PetrolPedah I didn’t realise it included the car transport back

Fantastic video, drive tours are the best way to use a car.

Where were the mountain roads you were on just before the Circuito Mike G segment?
If you’re ever this way again, be sure to check out Guadix, beautiful little town and great tapas barsπŸ‘
    We eat there every weekend.

So envious – those roads, that Spyder. Still, my BGTS 4.0 PDK will have to do.

I did this route last August in my 997.2 GTS cabrio, driving from london all the way to Valencia. Drove the entire route with my roof down and not a drop of rain throughout, year before in my 993 cabrio was different, experienced rain in France in the Pyrenees but drove right through 😁. Quiet roads in August though so you can really fly and have great fun.
For guaranteed perfect weather, August is the best time to travel. Enjoy gents πŸ‘ŒπŸΏβ˜ΊοΈ

Being a man of a certain age myself(I’m 70) and yes I know your nowhere near that, lol, and watching you all, I always think it’s such a shame we don’t have access to the toys we can afford now when we were 25, but that’s life, I guess we just have to make the most of life and enjoy it whilst we can, I loved your enjoyment of the whole experience, it really comes across in the vlog, and even those that could never afford to do what you do can in some way take part and come along for the ride.
