FIRST LOOK – Ferrari Amalfi – New Ferrari or just a Roma M ?

I was invited to the home of Ferrari to see there brand-new design, the Ferrari Amalfi. Great to see the return of buttons but the big question is …

Is this a new Ferrari or simply an update of the Ferrari Roma?

First! First impression of the Amalfi. Cleaner, almost bauhaus upgrade to the Roma. Damn good looking and truly a new Ferrari! Only criticism, please no more passengers screens! Don’t need a passenger seat driver!

Beautiful. I never liked the grill on the Roma and tnis (plus the wonderful buttons) has transformed the car.

Naming cars after place names seems to work ok in Italy. However, a Jaguar Birmingham, a McLaren Woking or a Lotus Norfolk wouldn’t sound so good.

I was at a car meet when a Ferrari turned up and we thought, yes ok. Then a Peugeot 405 arrived, and we thought wow got to see that !
