We have actually got our hands on the Mk1 Porsche Cayenne Turbo, the Mk2 Turbo S, and the Mk3 Turbo S e-hybrid, and we will go complete send out down an airstrip to see how efficiency has actually changed throughout these three generations!

So let's compare the stats. Beginning with the Mk1, it's powered by a 4.5-litre twin-turbo V8 that can deliver 450hp and 620Nm of torque. It pointers the scales at around 2,300 kg.

Next up it's the Mk2, and this Turbo S houses a 4.8-litre twin-turbo V8 that benefits 570hp and 800Nm. Surprisingly, it's lighter than the Mk1, weighing around 2,200 kg.

      It’s only 6 years old. The non-facelift version isn’t such good looking. Plus: The newest generation copied most of the design and styling cues. And that’s why even a 997 or a 991 still looks not very old from the outside.

    I must say, these generations drag races are really cool. I swear no other channel does anything like this. Amazing photography and shots. Could you do one with the BMW 3 series as a generation race. Am I just a lover for Porsche because their vehicles seem to have a timeless appeal, my opinion.

    nice video! To be fair though, you guys should’ve taken a turbo s for the first gen cayenne too, to compare apples to apples. First gen cayenne turbo S had 521 hp, so quite a bit more than the standard turbo

      U ‘ re right for the 955 , but i think the big difference come from the 8 speed gear box.
      For me the 955 or 957 are still better if U want off road

      @Eric MARCINIAK From a stand still its the gearbox doing an enormous difference yes. Mk2 turbo S isnt much slower to speak of than this mk4 (they call it mk2 in the video) car when up to speed. And indeed the mk1 and 2 are much more terrain focused, hence why they are a bit heavier.

    “Turbo” is 1 trim/engine below “Turbo S”. The 2006 1st generation had Turbo S also, which came in at 521 PS initially, and the 2008 updated 1st gen “Turbo S” had 550 PS.
