The Formentor VZ5 has been around for a while now however never made it to the UK. Finally the variety topping 390 horse power 3 cylinder Formentor is coming the UK in right-hand man drive. I went to Spain to experience it on closed roadways!

    Excellent. I’ll put one of them on my test drive shortlist for when my current lease runs out next year. I’d prefer it if they did a Cupra Leon Estate VZ5 though. Now that would be cool.

    What a spectacular drive!!! What a beautiful road, too. I hope all countries at least keep THESE roads maintained after they start banning daily driving from cities and towns. This road you used looks FAR more exciting to drive on than driving on a regular track.

    Thanks for the video Ped. Considering you can in theory drop £80K+ on a RS3 (welcome to. 2025)….£60K sort of makes sense in relative terms. And you get 5 years warranty and Audi is still at 3….but I’d rather get a second hand M3 Touring or RS4.

      Should make for a good used buy in a few years. I agree that a used M3 Touring would be a better buy than a new VZ5.

    I’m tending to think VAG’s ‘other’ brands are doing better design than the Wolfsburg mothership..?
    EVs are a wonderful technology giving a certain driving experience, but undoubtedly IC engines deliver the character of a car, well demonstrated by this tasty Cupra. Thanks for the fun drives!

    Good video. Great to hear they are coming to the UK. I purchased Formentor VZ3 ABT limited edition last year, but would of been interested in the VZ5 if it had been available at the time.

    Would be good to hear the sound of the exhaust from the outside driving past, also would like to hear the car when you start the engine.

    Engine looks to be mounted quite far back for a VAG product and in contrast to the RS3.
