Driving the Ferrari 348 Spider – The Worst Ferrari OR The Best ?!

I have constantly been a fan of the Ferrari 348. The successor to the Ferrari 328 it made from 1989 to 1995 but for some reason got a reputation for not being that excellent. I went to 5 Zeros Supercars to hang out with a gorgeous example that I actually evaluated at Beauty salon Prive last year. What happend next was extremely special.

Oh my goodness, I think I am in love, or is it lust. Yea probably lust, but oh wow that fabulous soundtrack in a car that probably won’t lose you your license is just fabulous beyond words. Its beautiful too, those old Ferraris are truly wonderful. Thanks for this video, true escapism for just over 34mins. Thank you!

Pete. This has made my day. For the first time in my life, I walked into a Porsche main dealer today to see if I could bend my old(ish) frame into a 911. Until I opened the door I didn’t appreciate the quality of the engineering. And then we have the sound of this 348 makes me wonder if I should look at a 20 year old Ferrari instead of a 997.2.

Now wouldn’t it be great if cars all came with camera drones to check out the road ahead. Great for the narrow lanes of Devon and Cornwall. What a lovely noise from that Ferrari. Fab video Pete.

Great video Pete. I’ve got to admit that I was never a huge fan of the 348, it seemed to angular after the flowing lines of the 308/328, but I must admit that its design had grown on me, especially in Spyder form. Love the absolute lack of driver aides, guessing that makes the car a hoot to drive too !

I’m rather sad at the loss of such analogue cars. My fave format in sports cars is the targa but the weather was right for this one
