Happy New Year. My choice of car for you to review/test drive would be an Escort Cosworth. It is still the most iconic car I have had the pleasure to drive and had the opportunity to buy but turned it down and kept my first Land Rover.

A nice metallic green Citroen SM is surely deserving of some time on your channel. Regrettably I can’t offer one myself.

Hello ped,I understand you enthusiasm for electric cars,we changed our car every three years since 1991(Skoda fabias now a yeti)love our 1.2 yeti outdoor, and I intend to keep it on the road for as long as possible.i have NO intention of buying an electric car,you will find that the ICE will still be king in 2030,and beyond.👍
In fact Skoda made a mistake in cancelling the yeti in 2017,it’s the only I would have shelled out money for.the so called new one is shite👍

Happy New Year. The last live event was great in case anyone is wondering. The worry about these SMMT figures is that targets weren’t hit in the easiest of years. From now on it gets much harder. The scary truth is that the EV mandate success is currently dependent on Chinese car manufacturing and that will change if tariffs get introduced. Already government sources are floating the idea of tax by weight which means we could end up with another case of consumers being conned by Governments (regardless of leaning) who are uninterested in our welfare but see car owners as cash cows to be milked to death.

Not so Happy New year for me. On 29.02.2024 i got a Hyundai Tuscon self charging Hybrid N Line s. i remember asking what the cost of the tax was and was told £180 per year. Today I got a tax reminder £590 for the year. I ended up with lock jaw. Then is will go up with inflation. what is this country coming to. to add insult to injury i have this car on a PCP, so its not that i can just hand it back. Good vlog as always

There are so many pre registered EVs now that Q1 figures will be abysmal as dealers struggle to flog the huge stock.

Something that has always been of interest is BMW Alpina. Being everyone seems to be always looking at SUV’s how about looking at the touring/estate/wagon cars Alpina now offer the market. Clearly they are expensive and seem to hold their value in the 2nd hand market and definitely “cool” cars from the past/present!!!

I’ve stopped commenting on EV issues. It’s proving to be very liberating 👍

Sad to see Sainz and Loeb fall by the wayside, now I’m rooting for Toby price and Sam Sunderland in their first year in a car. Featuring older cool cars sounds good. I suggest looking at Gilbern cars, which were made in Wales.
    Happy new year!
