Not sure about the Nexo. I see Ssangyong Rodius or Pontiac Aztek in the rear end. Maybe it’ll look better in the metal.

JCB have just got European type approval for a hydrogen combustion engine for construction equipment..they also produce the hydrogen & deliver it to sites..

That’s OK for an on-site vehicle that refuels and works in the same place. For LDV use hydrogen can never and will never be able to compete with batteries. This argument was done and dusted 10 years ago.

Goodness the rear of that nexo looks like the SUV from Breaking Bad

Meanwhile Hydrogen distribution companies are going bankrupt. I wonder why.

If they produced the Nexo in either a full hybrid or a PHEV that would be an attractive proposition Great video Ped!

Car shows are always good to walk round and there is always something interesting to see. I would also like to play with a big digger sometime. The wee kit car morphed into the concept car would be awesome. Do we need to start a petition on this channel to get this in to production.

Meanwhile in the real world, even Truck designers are going for Battery Electric. It is do-able now, whilst cost effective and clean Hydrogen is still in the ‘promising development ‘ stage. ‘Hydrogen’ engines are relatively simple to make, whilst fuel cells are well established technology, all that both need is that elusive fuel. There are well documented papers on the relative prices and efficiencies of various road fuels together with their environmental costs, without a major breakthrough Hydrogen will remain a niche fuel.
That alternative to the Ford Transit looked useful.

it’s nice they included a route planner to help you navigate between two hydrogen stations in your country. fantastic concept. there is nothing game changing in this car. hydrogen for cars is a dead end. Heavy transport, construction, public transport, yes. cars? no point. You can generate pure electricity from PV on the roof of your shed. you can’t do that with hydrogen.

hope you’re keeping healthy with all that travelling…..nice to see a show walk around…the ionic 6 always looked too melted for me….would like to see a 3/4 scale ionic 5 though..the Nexo also has hints of the design language from their coupe Pony concept…and the Kia EV4 maybe has some Zagato in the rear….

If Hydrogen makes sense elsewhere (not in the UK) why have Toyota sold so few Mirais? I mean, really teeny tiny numbers.
