265hp Cupra Terramar VZ2 – Performance, Practicality and room for the Pup and Bike !

I understand this is another Cupra evaluation but the Cupra Terramar actually impressed me during the week I had it. Can you fit a pet and a bike in the boot and what's it like to drive?

£56k is the same cost as the new BMW iX3 50, which is much more car than this !

@SDK2006bwe’ll agree to disagree! They both have their own merits. With the EU announcement that they are suspending the ban of ICE vehicles until 2040 you can bet the UK will follow. I work in distribution of new cars and whilst BMW is a great product, but, man they’re ugly these days. For me Cupra styling knocks them into a cocked hat.

The ix3 50 will be £63k in the UK.

Same old piss poor interior out of VW’s trash can. Given the pricing, this is an underwhelming car and overpriced – especially when you consider how much VW components feature here – and lets face it, VW parts are junk, unreliable and generally awful. £56k – you have to have more money than sense to spaff it on one of these – so many better options out there, new and used, for that price.

Zero redeeming features – a nothingburger of a car.

I have had mine in this trim and engine for 2 months now and love it. We have a Tiguan with this engine and it made me fall in love with it after years of Renaults. I test drove or sat in every VAG SUV, it feels like, and I loved the Terramar’s looks and interior the most. Practical, comfy, but you can have some fun when you want.

When you indicated to go into lane 3 less than half a mile from J14, I thinking, Ped’s off to Northampton on the go-around! Big ole bus for sure, and I can never forgive VAG for the touchscreen shenanigans, a no from me I think.

Looking at your road bike. Surprised you’ve not experienced the Loch Ness Etape. 66 miles closed road cycle round Loch Ness. It would be an opportunity for some great filming if you could incorporate with car reviews.

Great review as always! Is that the final price without discounts? During a visit to the Cupra dealership, they offered me an €8,000 discount. In promotional campaigns, it can go up to €10,000, which makes the car cheaper and a great option.
