2024 Kia EV6 Facelift – New Looks, More Range and Faster Charging – FIRST LOOK AND DRIVE | 4K

The 6 has had a face lift. The new 6 gets a new look inside and out, a bigger battery and even faster DC charging. The EV6 was already an award winning EV so making it even better is a hard ask. I headed to Kia UK for an unique first appearance and drive.

Interesting, it seems you are one of the first reviewers who has had a look at this!

If only that finger print recognition auto disables lane departure warning etc within your profile

Such a nice car! It’s FAR more car than anything I’ve ever driven…I wouldn’t know what to to DO with myself in it. Young’uns have beautiful choices in EVs nowadays.

I always get excited about Kia, being an owner leaser 🎉

We have the GT which is an amazing car. Would go so far to say the best car I’ve ever owned. The range on the GT is lower than GT Line, etc. but as you say: who drives 300 miles a day?!? It does everything brilliantly – look forward to seeing the full review.

It is not on my shopping list Pete, but your videos are such a pleasure to watch and one can only admire the Korean car makers and all the hard work put into swiftly updating their models. Cheers, Tom

Am I the only one who prefers the looks of the old one, at least from the outside? The inside of the new car is nicer and sounds like an improvement on an already very good car.
I may have to keep an eye out for discounts on the old spec.

It was one of those cars that I initially liked the look of, but the longer I looked at it.. the less I liked it. The back and front just looked like they were from different cars…

Totally agree about the most important issue being speed of recharging against range as that is the game changer of having an EV

And those ultra rapid chargers aren’t as rare as they used to be – all Ionity Chargers are 350kW and GridServe are routinely installing 350kw chargers on the UK truck road network.

Using Ionity alone one can charger jump every 100-200 miles from the North to the South of England.

I think having a shortcut to a personnel setup profile isn’t a gimmick, but a great idea! Heard lots of reviewers complain about having to turn off everything they changed, every time they start up the vehicle again, due to safety reasons. I think some of us want to drive the vehicle, not be driven. For example, driving down a twisty road with full visibility, I would drive a straighter line cutting across the lines a little. With lane assist, it fights you. So I would hardly ever use it.

Sadly you can’t configure ADAS systems as part of the fingerprint set up. That would be a great idea.

Renault have a button you can configure to do that. In the Kia you can set that up on the favourites star I believe 👍

Because of you Pete, I bought and got delivered across the country (US) a 2022 low low miles JCW Clubman a few days ago with all the bells and whistles inside. And thankfully they don’t make them anymore where I won’t have to get jealous of any new updates when a new one comes out like all these cars. Boy oh boy its a quick one isnt it.

Miss Charlie vids keep it up.

I bought the cheapest EV6 available here in Finland, 58kwh RWD and although it’s missing quite a lot of the bells and whistles I was soo pleased to find out that the interior trim was this matte silverish plastic instead of the piano black that the GT-line has here in Finland. I was a bit apprehensive of having the smaller battery, but in the end it’s been more than enough for the occasional weekend trip and all of our daily commutes.

Thanks. I have had my EV6 for nearly 3 years now and it is the best car I have ever had, so hard to improve on this.
The new 6 does not have anything that induces me to change, and soon will have the premium tax , so I will stay with my present one.
