It’s appalling! If that’s the best Toyota can come up with in an important segment, then I’m afraid they have some very tough times ahead!

A token effort by Toyota as they don’t believe in EVs

This vehicle is for UK’s ZEV mandate.

Toyota pumps out complacency garbage EVS and then when no one buys them they can go “see no one wants EVs! Let’s keep ICE/Hybrid/Hydrogen”
Self sabotaging chicken and egg stupidity

Nicola, I very rarely disagree with your comments in your reviews; I think the hazard warning light button is perfectly placed. With the delay in the screen response with the on screen animation and notifications, your eyes will be off the road for an extended time, so turning on your hazards warning the other drivers that you are operating the screen is a ‘safety feature’.

What on earth is that dash display?!?! It looks so ugly, a giant honking dash bezel with a tiny cluster display? What the heck are they thinking?!?!

    They’re not even trying anymore.

They’re also not bothering to address the issue of Toyotas being stolen within a couple of minutes because of an apparent oversight that makes it dead easy.
And they’re not approving owners fitting after market immobilisers to prevent the thefts they should have handled.
So all owners can do to protect their cars is put on a steering wheel lock. Well, retro is all the rage right?

I guess every theft is an insurance claim that gives them an extra sale. The thefts are probably keeping them afloat right now.

Why did Toyota even bother. Paying another car company so you can produce something you don’t believe in. Then do a poor job, over price it and claim no one is buying it, so therefore, people do not want EV’s!

I’d never buy an electric car from a company that has been actively and aggressively lobbying against EVs for years. Toyota’s heart isn’t in it, yet.
