This might be the Best Cheap EV yet… New Renault Twingo DRIVEN

Check out the review:

What were you like in the '90s? Since before we drive the all-new, all-electric Renault Twingo, Nicki Shields is travelling back in time … to where all of it began.
The initial Twingo was eccentric, creative and entirely memorable– and now, over 30 years later on, it's back. But can this new electric variation live up to the icon status of the Mk1? And more importantly … has it been worth the wait?
In this video, Nicki gets behind the wheel of the born-again Twingo in Ibiza to learn what it's truly like. From its retro-inspired style and smart packaging to its real-world variety, performance and city-friendly performance, this is among the most awaited small EVs in years.
With a starting cost of under ₤ 20,000, could this be the inexpensive electric car we've all been waiting for? Or is it a case of design over compound?

      the position is fine (might I say excellent) but isn’t it unresponsive at times ?
      From B to R to B ?

      @jousis_ yes and also we’ve had a few times where you have to start again. Power on, foot on brake and put in gear….nothing. So power off then power on…foot on brake…etc

    Please keep adding in the kilometers / metric numbers. The coverage on this channel is too good to not watch outside of Britain!

      Dane here: Doesn’t matter for me. Just use your brain and convert:

      1,6*miles=km

    2. @john-kerslake Avatar
      @john-kerslake

      Well, that was rude…and incorrect! 1.6 kms. is equal to one mile or 0.62 miles = 1 km.

      @chrisyarrington5256

      That’s what he said – multiply the miles figure by 1.6 to get kilometres

      I got used to convert, but would be a nice nod to foreign viewers from everywhere else around the world

    12.1 to 60/100 wasn’t too bad a couple of years back.

    The hazard lights are “I’m popping into a shop here for 5 minutes” indicator in southern Europe. That’s why it’s button in so prominent place in a city car.

    With those Carpet mats it should be called Tweenies

    Not many vehicles make 80 hp feel like the right choice, but in dense city environments it actually reduces friction for new drivers. That’s an underrated angle.

    I get your point regarding the floormats, but I like the roof-padding.

    What I think is most impressive about it is it’s not 38% larger all round. So many of these retro vehicles are “much the same to look at but obviously we have to make it bigger”.

      @haukikannel

      True! Really hard to find normal size cars that actually fit to parking halls, or normal city roads in older towns…

    Renault are really smashing it out the park just now with their EV’s from the Scenic, the Mégane, the R5 and R4 and now the Twingo, all great EVs for everyday journeys, for families, for singles, for couples and for young and older folks too.

      @IsclachauI groaned when she said it had the rear axle from the Captur. Bad memories of the one my wife had & the brake shoes falling apart at under 5 years old. 😩

      @Isclachau

      @JjaysYoutubeWell I find all French cars go wrong at the warranty cut off. So if you lease get it 3 years and hand it back asap . 😂😂Seriously every French I’ve owned or a friend etc it just falls apart after 3 years. . Hope you got a good’un if you bought it. If you leased no issues. 🤞

    Have to say as a R5 etech owner I had read and seen so much negative talk about the stalks and radio controls on the right hand side of the steering wheel, however I love it now! It just works great and has not mixed any of them up so far.
