TESLA CYBERTRUCK hits the UK! Too big, or the perfect pick-up? | Electrifying

READ THE REVIEW:

The Tesla – a lorry that fired up the web with its bold, exoskeletal style– continues to be a secret for European markets, particularly the . While it controls EV conversations across the pond, will this futuristic pick-up ever navigate the narrow streets and stringent policies of Britain?

One significant hurdle is the sheer size of the Cybertruck. Extending over 5.8 meters long, it dwarfs most lorries on UK roads. Think of browsing tight country lanes or bustling town hall with such a large footprint! Parking might end up being a daily challenge course for British chauffeurs accustomed to more compact cars and trucks.

The Cybertruck's unconventional style may raise red flags with European security authorities. Meeting the EU's stringent security standards and going through the complex homologation procedure for European markets could be a substantial challenge for Tesla. From lighting systems and mirrors to potentially even bodywork modifications, the Cybertruck may need a considerable transformation to comply with policies.

Despite these obstacles, there's a chance the Cybertruck may ultimately discover its way to UK shores. Tesla has revealed interest in broadening its RHD offerings, and the growing EV market might see a rise in demand for distinct electrical cars. Additionally, Tesla's reputation for innovation might lead to develop adjustments or alternative versions catering specifically to the UK market.

    Having sold pickups in the UK this isn’t as practical as it should be. Getting stuff in and out of the bed is important and the CyberTruck is useless with that sloped quarter panel, even with the ride at its lowest setting. The front boot is good, however, as is the theatre rear seats, and I’m sure it is more car-like in how it drives. Can’t imagine it would pass pedestrian safety tests though.

    1. @user-fl4pi2ut9c Avatar
      @user-fl4pi2ut9c

      A dealer says a truck not sold by dealers is unpractical. The bed is a non-issue because it has a powered front trunk. Just like a tool box not being needed because the sub trunk and locking cover. It’s more practical than the F150 lightning, which is why it outsold that already.
