    Spent a large amount of time driving and pass entering in the hybrid (P460e) and diesel (D350) versions of this, and they are excellent. So I’d expect the same from this. Excited to drive one at some point. Excellent review as always from Nicola😆

    Range Rover and electricity, what could possibly go wrong?

      Only sensible move would be to spend this sort of money on a Freelander. British looks, Chinese tech.

      @dr.andersonsghost4315

      @MoutinhoNuno If I have the money to spend on a Freelander, I would buy the original Chery the Freelander is based on and used the money saved, which would be a considerable sum, for something else.

      @MoutinhoNuno

      @dr.andersonsghost4315how much is the Chery? Bc the Freelander will come at about 80k

      @vorjayI’d assume the same place where they’ve been building £180k+ RRs that go bust after 18 months.

    you were complaining about how long everything takes in the normal Range Rover, sounds like they listened to you with the rear seat recline.

      @ScootandbootThanks for the lecture. I’ve never been hit on my 500 acre estate and it really is quite unlikely unless I chose to randomly reverse into one of my woods.

    I like the idea of the curved centre screen. It looks like a matt surface, similar to a TCL nxtpaper screen, where you do not get any reflections.

    This is just perfect powertrain for brand like Range Rover, being about luxury silent ride, and even with it’s size mostly used for daily school and shop runs, owners definitely not taking it off-road 😅.
    I definitely like that JLR didn’t mess with the design outside and inside, just made it electric and that’s it!⚡⚡👌.
    I hope we get smaller Evoque as full EV .
    Nicola not really believing you not being fancy being so against camping on first drives 😅😅😅.

    I’m glad JLR have finally seen the (electric) light. I get a slight feeling that because they took so long they will doing stuff that other manufacturers were doing 6 or 7 years ago and have now stopped doing, like the gloss black everywhere.

    Considering it has more torque and power than the v8 yet the v8 would cost about £181 to fill up whilst standard home charge for the EV would be £32 and if you had a low 7p kw then £8.40. When they come up second hand I’d seriously consider (none of the oil seal leaks, crankshaft issues, gearbox, timing chain, EGR, DPF)

      Exactly !
      Being able to buy a RR and run it for 20% of nothing – just wow !

      No doubt someone will come along and mention the price or depreciation. For sure – Petrol & diesel RR’s cost a lot and also depreciate as well 💡
      The difference – the EV will cost peanuts to run and peanuts to service

    I’ve been driving Range Rovers for the last 11 years and I’m looking for a new car. I’ve been waiting for the RRS EV for a while and I really want to love it, but unfortunately it just seems too much of a compromise. At the top of my list now is the iX5, the battery size/range and the tech for the money you pay is just unbeatable. A pretty much fully specked BMW goes for about €126k, whereas the RRS is about 40k more, with less tech and options that are not even available for the RRS, and that is just too much! Not to mention over 200km less range…I love the RR, how it drives and it’s really a special feeling driving it, but I just can’t overlook the shortcomings vs the price difference, I just can’t. Even if the RRS would be the same price, it’ll still be, in my opinion, a lesser car than the iX5. Maybe next generation will be more efficient and more suited for an EV-architecture than this, and maybe then it will be a different story. But, my humble opinion is that RR will have it VERY difficult with the Chinese cars! They are better equipped, better materials and better tech for half the price, eg. Xpeng G9L, and it’s just the beginning of a tsunami of luxury vehicles coming from China. RR might need to join forces with another manufacturer to keep it self alive, especially tech-wise, otherwise I think they are toast! I try to justify myself to stick with the RRS, but when I ask myself what is the upside of buying a RR towards the competition, I genuinely can’t answer that question…maybe one of you can.
