      Great isn’t it? I really hate the big tablet screen bolted to the dash looks. The wife, low and slim display of the e5008 works much better

    hate these bait titles. E5008 and I9 are two different classes. Had E5008 for a weekend with 7 people. sorry, but the third row is an emergency option even for 11yo kids, while in Ioniq 9 I can sit behing myself in every row. comfort? again, this is a different class. Bootspace? you dont have 300l there. and for sure you cant use it because if you need all seats angle of the third row wont allow you to store anything but five bottles of water. And how do your kids like to sit in the third row without any ventilation? Mine was visibly unhappy after 45 minutes in June. If I am correct (because I had it half a year ago) the 360 cameras are typical Stellantis joke, this is side view generated from from and rear camera as you pass. which means if you are trying to leave a narrow parking space, you dont have visibility at all (because car was offline).
    This is a nice car if you need a family car with the very large boot, and once a year you have to travel with four kids, this is super comfortable and quiet (seriously, below 70mph is one of the quietest cars of this size) BUT… if you need three rows three days a week, just ignore 5008, unless your kids have no leg space expectations.

      Confused by your boots space comment. You know the figure includes under the boot floor?. Flip that up and you can actually fit lots in. I can fit a big food shop for our family of 6 plus the kids school bags, coats and book bags. With the boot floor in place there is still space for the kids stuff, the rearmost seats aren’t that reclined (unless they can be adjusted and I haven’t found it yet). My kids fit nicely in the rearmost seats, they are 7 and 8 and have bulky car seats. That said I’m on 5ft 11 so we aren’t short of middle row space.

      With regards to the cameras you need the 360 pack which this test car has which does have 4 real cameras rather than an augmented image which I agree is a bit hit and miss!

      The Ioniq 9 is a different class of car which is acknowledged by it costing £15k more. For me it wasn’t worth it (or for the EV9) but second hand I’d probably go for the Koreans over the Peugeot but they weren’t available when we got our e-5008. If you are shopping for a 7 seater EV class doesn’t always come into it as options are so very limited

      ​@TheDigitalDadUK I got 5008 from Enterprise, so had no chance to select any options, thus my experience with 360 cameras. I also used that for six adults (three 185cm+ men, three women) and one kid. so slightly different use case.
      I am confused with the underfloor storage. dont remember what was there in our car, but I remember it wasn’t practical (or maybe just super dirty as usual in rental cars) and we ended with our 1day backack inside.
      Then, the price, while the sticker prices are different, if you lease for 36months, 10k miles annual, the monthly price for 5008 is 697quids (or 557 on Octopus Salary Sacrifice for regular GT, as premium [for cameras] is not available), while I was able to find cheapers Ioniq 9 Calligraphy for 649 per month.. I know what I would lease.
      I don’t need seven seats for my family of three, but I need large car for our weekly travels with dinghy and sails, right now the rolled sail is touching my central screen so we need something bigger. Thats why we were considering 5008 and cars like I9 six seater. I don’t mind I9 size, as we plan to keep our i3 as city car.
      the E5008 may be a PERFECT car for your family, I am just disgusted when somebody is trying to compare it to EV9 or I9. It’s same case as ‘can C63 beats C5 Aircross?!’ (because it has rear seats) (no worries, it’s a joke).

      ​​@michalklucz6907yes you life the boot floor and it’s massive, more space underneath than on top. The Koreans are no doubt better cars but if you can’t stretch to £65k+ the e5008 is a good choice

      I’ve seen lease deals for £300 for the e5008 (3 years/10k/6 months deposit)

    Cracking review, it’s nice to see a car reviewed for a substantial length of time for its intended target audience. Also without the usual bias of ‘Stellantis are rubbish’!

    We have the same car and 14 months/12,000 miles in we absolutely love it. It’s not perfect but for our needs it really hits the spot. As highlighted it’s a cracking looking car inside and out which is hard to find these days.

    2 poinrs to note, it doesn’t have one pedal driving (it slows to a creep) even on the max regen setting. Secondly the 8 year warranty isn’t just on the battery it’s on the entire electric drivetrain including battery, motors, charger and wiring.

    What is better than Peugeot e5008? I can think of a few options…

    Tesla Y L, basically any Kia or Hyundai in this segment, Mifa 9, BYD SL8, BYD M8, Xpeng G9, Xpeng X9, Aion V, Leapmotors C16, Leapmotors D19, Denza D9.

    Obviously author has a point in that if you don’t care about 5 yr old tech or low value for money – you can get Peugeot e5008 in the UK from almost any dealer. So it’s readily available anywhere. But outside of that, Peugeot e5008 is at least £5-7k overpriced for what you get 😢

    For me personally the XPeng G9 or Škoda Enyaq are the picks in this class, or if looking for proper 3-row family hauler the simply awesome KIA PV5 😊.

    Great review about how people actually use cars. It is not a car I want or need, but I can see why it is good at what it does for a great price. An interesting review would be what second, probably small, car you would have for the few moments you could leave the children behind and enjoy driving.

    This is on our short list. I know that you might be abit more EV minded due to the channel but if you look at the car itself what would be the tipping points of the e-5008 over the skoda kodiaq plug in?

    For anyone who wants one but can’t normally stretch to 54k, note that these have been available cheap on leases for a good while now (prices similar to cars with rrp 10k lower.)
