New 2027 Peugeot 208: Polygon Concept reveals baby Pug’s new look

Find out more:

Could this be our first real look at the next-generation Peugeot 208?
In this walkaround, Nicola takes you up close with the striking Peugeot Polygon idea, a strong style research study that sneak peeks what Peugeot's extremely essential supermini could appear like when it launches next year.
The 208 has long been a crucial gamer in Europe's small cars and truck market, balancing style, usefulness and affordability. But with competitors fiercer than ever, Peugeot is clearly pushing its design language even more than before. The Polygon idea showcases sharper lines, more aggressive emerging, futuristic lighting signatures and a remarkable reinterpretation of the brand name's signature front-end identity.
So is this Peugeot's boldest design yet? And more importantly, will it suffice to win over buyers in among the most competitive sectors on the market?
Nicola breaks down the outside information, design hints and production-ready aspects hidden within the idea, separating show-car drama from what we're likely to see on the road. From percentages and position to lighting and interior tips, we check out how closely this style study signals the future of the 208, and whether Peugeot has struck the best balance in between development and daily use.
Let us know in the comments: would you select this over its essential rivals? And has Peugeot nailed the brief for the next period of the 208?

Gonna take a “wild” guess that the production will look absolutely nothing like this car, interior and outside.

Only company I’ve seen deliver anything that is even a bit like their concepts as of recent has been Renault and I guess Hyundai

Stellantis is the BMC of the 21st century so it’s plausible. But PSA particularly Peugeot had always delivered production cars close to the concept designs, unfortunately we also were let down my the likes of the Citroen Oli that did not appear other than its headlights

If 80%% of this makes it into production it’ll be the 1st car of the 2030s. If.

    That´s a homage to the Peugeot 205.

Agree about the C-pillar. But it’s also the only design aspect that pays homage to the original 205. It’s not like the new R5 pays homage to the entire original R5 design, both outside and inside.

Those side mirrors had me thinking of LED lighted makeup mirrors. The interior reminds me of a Mattel Big Wheel. (Look it up)

It’s a Stellantis car, everything you said is cool, looks cool and feels cool, won’t make it to the production😅

It’s a Stellantis car, everything you said is cool, looks cool and feel cool, won’t look cool, function uncool and what makes it into the production version will not at all be cool.

What a contrast between a bright and inviting cabin and a drab, black and plastic doom hole of a cabin in the current 208.

So basically it’s a concept which the actual car will only very vaguely resemble.

suggestion: if you could could you also include the honk or horn when reviewing however if the car doesnt have a horn thats fine but just include the horn if you can. Thanks.

Give us that rear light panel with physical buttons in the car that make it flash “thank you” and “sorry!”

The front looks like it’s inspired by the 205 GTI/405/605 from the nineties with the lion badge and the three horizontal stripes.
