Seal Excellence is the clear choice if you care about performance and value for money, at least below about 67 mph, after that it feels like it hit a brick wall from exoerience.

I love the look the Mazda (I know it’s not really a Mazda). Some reviews said it didn’t drive like a Mazda…but, I never knew Mazda’s had a certain ride.

Anyone else notice a trend with legacy auto rebadging Chinese cars as their own and then raising the prices?

It’s called a Trojan horse. The Chinese do all the r&d and own all the rights on the technology and software. It’s the end for the manufacturers doing this.

i think mazda prob have an agreement or smth with changan that they cant sell them for lower or the same price that changan sell their cars for.

raising prices? costs the same as BYD

Ever heard of carbon credits? probably not because they suck and are very very dictatory

You think BYD hasn’t jacked up the prices for the UK ?

Honestly, I like the “far away” heads up display. It’s much easier for my eyes to adjust focus between the display and the road.

The 6e door handles do automatically pop out when the key is about 3m away.

And you get full panoramic roof on the cheaper “Takumi” (non-plus) version.

I think I would prefer Takumi roof with Takumi+ interior.

1:04 Mazda doorhandles also pop out. If they pull back in the door you just need to push the unlock button on the remote.
A pitty you did not compare the apps and the possibilities to add driverprofiles. I also testdrove the Mazda, the Seal rwd and Model 3 LR RWD. The Tesla is by far the most sporty car of those. The Seal in rwd felt just slow, powerless. Mazda felt impressively comfortable.

I love the interior and 5 door space of the 6e. But lack of manual controls is a deal breaker. Be keeping my ev6.

6E might be the best looking saloon out there.
..but they should’ve fought Chinese for physical knobs on their version.

I am a person who works in healthcare, but I still like the looks of de Mazda 6e. It feels more luxurious and you’re always looking back to your car, that’s a nice one! ❤

    Nice Review Nicola! 🎉

Trouble is Nicky , it might be cheaper for these companies to fit the screens in cars , instead of buttons. But it’s going to be really expensive to fix the screens when the cars are out of warranty. These companies have got us over a barrel, and they know it as well

I didn’t know your channel but with this incredible presenter I was obliged to subscribe to it. I really like her natural tone with humor and yet the information she gives are very relevant and precise. I love the Mazda 6e but the tech seems already dated… If the large battery would have had more recharging power or even 800v technology it would have been a very good choice.

As a BYD Seal Excellence owner I’m a bit biased but also little envious of the Mazda’s interior design and colour, maybe the hatchback bit too – but that’s where it ends. I wouldn’t be swapping my Seal for a 6e if I had the choice.

My first car as a 19-year old was a second hand Mazda Xedos 6, V6 24 valve. I will always retain lingering affection for Mazda cars, but I’m completely sold on these new Chinese cars.

For me having all the stuff in the screen is a safety issue as it’s not much different playing your phone even if it is a fixed screen , this is especially true if your older and less adroit at operating screens especially with your left hand when you are right handed . So I would be looking elsewhere a bit too big for me anyway.
