0:23 You can’t see them on the road. If the company isn’t willing to sell them. The brand is only available in 3 European markets for some unknown reason.

Sat inside this facelift model last year when visiting Hyundai design studio in Seoul and have to say materials and quality definitely felt more premium than any German rivals I’ve recently sat in.

That will be because they are. The Koreans are upping their game constantly, while the Germans are seeing how much cost cutting they can get away with as regards materials and quality, while still charging you premium prices.

    £70k wouldn’t consider 😅

70k is much less than you would have to pay for an equivalent German car (SQ6, Macan 4S or EQE AMG)

The interior of this car makes the german alternatives with a similar price tag feel cheap and plasticky…

But does it come me now with? Phil Collins sat in the back seat, sorry couldn’t resist that 🤣🤣

It’s better but still slightly off the pace on range, price, mid-seat and boot space, but isn’t that interior lovely!

Always liked these, and yeah this upgrade would help push more sales, but I suspect it’s an EV better bought as a 2y/o model for maybe £40-50k rather than the new £70k!

My thought is if you need to press a Boost button to overtake, then you are not overtaking in a safe postion.

That is true, as it already has a lot of power! But I think it’s more there for the fun of having a boost button

I never use the boost button on mine. It has so much power without it that you can overtake pretty much anything. The boost just gives you a neck strain.

@@GarethJordan42Boost or not, it still looks a fantastic car. My EV gives me more than enough power, especially when I think back its greater than when I had a Porsche and a Golf GTi

I have the 2024 model and I absolutely love it! I compared it to various EVs from other premium brands and this one really stood out in terms of quality. I did have the chance to see it in the flesh at one of their showrooms which made a big difference. The fast charging is a game changer for me. You can top up so quickly it makes long journeys a breeze – it also helps that the charging network is getting a lot better.

Instead of „tesla minimalism”, you should call it tesla cheapness.
They don’t do it for design purposes. It’s to cut costs.

This is a shared platform so it has the advantage that the manufacturer didn’t put in weird things just to make it look futuristic. It has the disadvantage of not being built from the ground up as an EV, but I’d say considering the size of the vehicle, the horsepower and size of the battery the EPA range of 250 miles is not bad. The last model was one of the best reviewed EVs I’ve seen in spite of having about 225 miles of EPA range. I’d consider a used 2025 down the road if I can find one. I like this screen set up a lot more than what the previous model had.

I have a 2023 GV70 which I think is fantastic. I’m not a fan of extra large display in the new model and would definitely miss the 3D display in the binnacle of the old model which I love because it is crystal clear in even the brightest lighting conditions. The extra range would come in handy but the fast charging helps mitigate the shorter range in the old model. Perhaps they will update my cars software with the manual pre-conditioning because that is a feature I would love to have. The interior of my car is so comfortable and the new one looks to be even better but I have no interest whatsoever in making broom-broom noises as its strong point is how smooth and quiet it is to drive. The old model has so much tech there is about an hour of video covering it, does it need any more? The acceleration without the boost button is way faster than most people would ever find comfortable using in any real world driving situation and consequently the boost button has only one use and that is to impress your friends. If there is one very minor but highly irritating thing I would like them to fix it is that in the rain the boot lid drips water onto your neck as you reach in, not a torrent but enough drips to annoy.

Nice video (although this car is not available here), and loving British accent you have, it´s a good listening practice for me :). Bye from Spain, take care.

297 miles of range is shocking for this price point!
