I’ve got a Frontera , in ultimate spec, in khaki green and I love it. Great for the narrow lanes here in Mid Wales. We average 3.8 miles per kWh.

3.8? its impossible even tesla is 15

Tesla is 15 or 1.5? That’s pretty poor.

@koseku3 3.8 miles per kwh does not mean 3.8 kwh per 100 km, does it?

I would have loved to have the option of buying the steel wheels fitted with all season tyres on my Frontera Ultimate.

Am I going mad or is the caption for the Citroën incorrect throughout the video? It’s not a e-C5 Aircross is it?

Also casts doubt on whether the spoken figures or the captioned pricing figures etc are correct. All looks a little hastily put together. Sorry (!)

@thelaserhive3368 The other details seemed fine to me – just a blip with that tag I reckon.

I sincerely hope that now, when Tavares is gone, they will NEVER make such a direct rebadge of a passenger model, like these two! Though on the other hand, it is really nice to hear that despite that, they both have rather individual personality and “brand based character”!
And just an observation about hard plastic…. not as much because it being “cheap” or hard to touch (like anyone is “caressing” the dashboard while driving), but because of the sound comfort….. It is rather shocking how much “hollower” the sound in the cabin of Frontera is, compared to the C3AC, which has a large part of its dashboard cowered with soft textile lining

Was genuinely surprised of the differences between these cars. I’d assumed they were rebadged versions of the same Stellantis vehicle, but no.

PS: I paused the video at 12:12 and can confirm both your openings are the same size… equally nice, big and boxy 😉👍😆

Why are the front doors so small. Really interested in the Frontera, but bumped my head several times getting in and out before even asking for a test drive. My last three cars have been Vauxhalls, my next won’t.

I wish you would tell us how big these cars are. Stood next to them, the camera angle makes them look like they are about 12 feet long and 6 feet high. A quick measurement shout out would be much appreciated, ta . Nice review though.😊

Both would be great if offered as 7 seaters and even greater with both battery options for us to pick.

Nice comparison test. These cars offer plenty of space for the money.

I prefer the Frontera. The German’s tighter handling matches that here in the Netherlands.

The Citroën’s interior looks fresh, but the small steering wheel, limited display, and typical text labels on the upholstery detract. Although I would also consider the C5 Aircross… 😉

Considering how much Vauxhall thought the first Corsa & Astra EVs were worth. It comes as no surprise that Cit. beats the Vx. on price.

Is there any chance you could do a similar review with the Vauxhall Grandland EV and Citroën e-C5 Aircross?

  15. @mikadavies660 Avatar
    @mikadavies660

I used to own a Citroen EC-4 and the only complaint I had was the range…. 54kw is a touch small…. I leased my E-C4 for £280/mth with a 10,000 mile/yr deal. It was the highest spec car, with heated seats etc.
However, the biggest deal is at 3 years old my Citroen only fetched £12,500 at auction… Now if you were buying one for that money, it’s an outstanding bargain of a car.

Hmm, Citroen added to my shortlist, after I calculated I dont ever use a 200+ mile range: Far more important is rate of charging `on the wall box` and on the 200kw charger locally. Had Vauxhalls in the past, don’t like their dealers…

Wondering about the Frontera 7seater version. It wasn’t mentioned as a thing. There was a whole load of internet buzz about there being a 7seater and then it’s like its never mattered since.
