EXCLUSIVE: Citroën ELO – the new Citroën OLI is here and we love it!

Full Story:

Join Ginny in Paris for a special very first look at the Citroën ELO, the brand-new idea automobile signalling Citroën's bold return to clever, compact MPVs. Brilliant, blocky and remarkably useful, the ELO is an "concepts laboratory on wheels"– a look into how Citroën wants us to rest, work and play in the next generation of electric family cars and trucks.

We dive into the style story, from the one-box silhouette and big wraparound glass to the lively colour-shifting outside that channels peak Citroën quirkiness. Inside, things get even wilder: a central driving position, six-seat versatility, detachable chairs, rotating workstations and modular storage made from recycled products. There's even a partnership with Decathlon, complete with inflatable air beds, integrated compressors, awnings and a complete "mobile home cinema" setup.

We likewise explore the sustainability developments, smart Goodyear tyres and the clever product packaging changes EVs finally permit designers to embrace. However the big concern: how much of this will make it into a real Citroën MPV? And could this be the very first mean a reinvented Berlingo for the electric period?

Join us as we discover– artistically, skillfully and very Citroën-ly.

“Elo” as a name for an MPV is fun from a Finnish perspective, that’s the noun form of the verb for living.

It’s a concept, who knows if there be any Citroen MPV on the market… 😞

Apart from some “Total Recall” vibe, I like the concept, central driving seat allows one version for LHD or RHD motoring without change; the extra seats, sliding doors, all of it typically quirky but practical. Would love this as an e-Berlingo replacement fast!!

Interesting to see sustainability expressed through both materials and multi-use features rather than just energy claims.

The shame with Citroen is that their concept cars are nothing like their manufacturered cars. Unlike Kia / Renault, who show the concept and then release virtually the same car.

This can only be a good thing. More MPVs, fewer SUVs.

Quirky like a 2cv but more versatile for many pursuits. Moving towards camper van space.

I’m so glad that a car manufacturer is thinking 🤔 outside the normal box. I do hope that designers start to do this more and more 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Wow, Citroën — just wow! This concept is packed with ingenuity. I absolutely love the design, and it really shows how EVs can offer something far beyond any combustion-engine vehicle. Citroën simply has to build this.

Love that versatility. Can be a sort of camper van lite, that can do double duty on the school run. The compact dimensions would be a boon in London traffic. Can’t imagine it will be cheap with all those features though.
