The Citroen e-C3 Aircross is here– larger, more practical, and still extremely cost effective! At just ₤ 22,000 with a series of up to 250 miles, it could be the budget-friendly household we have actually all been waiting for. However is it any excellent?

REVIEW:

Here's what you require to understand:
✅ Bigger & Roomier– 4.39 m long, loads of interior area
✅ 7 Seats?– Just on gas versions, however electric still uses a huge 460L boot
✅ New Tech– 10.25-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, built-in ChatGPT
✅ Fast Charging– 100kW DC charging (20-80% in 26 minutes).
✅ 44kWh or 54kWh Battery– Series Of 186 to 250 miles.
✅ Only 113bhp– Is it fast enough?

With styling inspired by the eccentric Citroen Oli, a practical family-friendly design, and a cost that damages competitors like the MG ZS and Kia Niro , the e-C3 Aircross could shock the marketplace. But is it the ideal EV for you? Enjoy to discover!

If that range is real world, Range of 186 to 250 miles, then I would happily buy that tomorrow as I am looking at 2nd hand EVs for that range at that price point.

      @LeeOades

That absolutely will not be the real world range. My Peugeot e-208 had a claimed range of 218 miles from its 46 kWh usable battery. I struggle to get over 140 and I’m a slow driver and a smaller car.

@@LeeOadesI’ve had an e208 for two and a half years, same useable battery . I get about 140-150 in winter and about 180-200 in the summer and never put it in Eco mode. 140 isn’t great, not sure why it’s that low.

Just brought home a virtually new (130 miles on clock) top spec Max Citroën E-berlingo for £23k. Totally ignored car by citroën marketing, probably only built still for motorbility and taxi drivers, but it is this car but better. Same size but massive interior space, three proper driving modes plus three levels of regen (with flappy paddles). Yes it’s a van, but that’s it’s advantage, vans are designed to carry things as easily as possible. That’s a lesson a few car designers could take.

Even though it is sliiightly less equipped in the base trim when compared to the Chinese rivals, it looks miles better and you know you’ll be able to service it in 3 years, unike those cars. And it costs pretty much the same. A no-brainer. Would be surprised if this doesn’t turn out to be Europe’s best selling car for the next 2-3 years.

Thanks Nicola, good review of a nice EV. That Aircross has a very nice color.
We ordered the MAX full option version.
Sadly Citroën left the heated seats, heated steeringwheel and freont foglights out of the “full option” version, thou in the Netherlands we still had to pay for these features.
We had to cancel the order. So now we bought the Dongfeng Nammi Box 42kWh version for €23.400.
Turned out to have more features standard as the MAX. And for €5000 cheaper.
Happy with the change. The BOX is more efficient, (100kg lighter and better aerodynamics) 360 degrees camera’s, standard heated and cooled driver seat and lots of other good stuff.
