      Unreliable and too quirky not to mention inferior quality. Even the Germans should not be in the list

    Did anyone else see the B-Roll mistake at 9:10? I don’t think the VW touchpad is plush by an means, especially on a Lexus! 😆

    In Japan, the Lexus LBX is build on the same assembly line as the Yaris and the Yaris Cross! Apart from the materials used, I doubt that the build quality is any different, based on my past experience with car manufacturing.

      Just like an Audi is a more expensive VW which is a more expensive Cupra which is a more expensive Skoda which is a more expensive SEAT! All of which will be un-reliable if we are to believe the surveys!

    3. @nicholasriley3569 Avatar
      @nicholasriley3569

      No it’s not built on the same assembly line. The Yaris Cross is manufactured at Toyota Motor Manufacturing France’s Valenciennes facility in France whereas the Lexus LBX is manufactured at the Iwate plant in Kanegasaki, Japan! The materials and build quality are most certainly different.

      @@sIightIybored I’ve never been a Honda fan (apart from bikes in my younger days), and I’m not keen on the fastback styling of the Civic. Fairly recently I got an ex demo Corolla hybrid, and I’m very pleased with it. It has (I’m told) the 5th generation hybrid drive train from the Prius. I’m seeing 70 mpg plus on town driving, and 60+ on longer runs. Build quality seems really solid, with no squeaks, buzzes or rattles. The throttle control in particular seems extremely smooth and progressive, which I like. I’m impressed with the economy, having filled the petrol tank just twice since February the 20th, when I got the car……

    best new car on sale in the uk at the time of this video is the citroen c4 max 136 hybrid, they are well priced anyway and dealers are currently offering around £5k off if you haggle and that’s for the new facelifted model not old stock – what else can you get that’s better for under £22k on the road? and don’t forget its fast 0-60 8.0 seconds 60mpg and fully loaded with equipment.

    I had a lbx for 10 month, the 12 volt battery is to small, when you drive not verry much then is the battery empty and that was for me 12 times. I have now the Hyundai Tucson hybrid it drives always

  18. @barrycrosby8602 Avatar
    @barrycrosby8602

    You seem to have this a bit mixed up, people buy hybrid cars for two main reasons 1 fuel economy and your winner has the worst fuel economy and 2 the price again you have selected the most expensive, the winner by a mile is the Toyota Corolla estate it is practical and I am achieving 70 mpg on a mix of roads well built and looks so much better than the brick on wheels, and the king of hybrid is Toyota and lexus anything else should be avoided
