ALL NEW Škoda Kodiaq: Unleashing the future with Yeti Vibes and ICE, Hybrid, and BEV options ! | 4K

I went to the World Premier of the all brand-new Škoda . An extremely crucial and truck for Škoda to let loose thier future in the big section. I had ICE (gas and Diesel), Hybrid (PHEV and Self-Charging) and full battery electric alternatives and more than a little Yeti vibes going on with the of the internal style and features.

Hi this kodiaq is a full 8inches longer than the new tiguan. It has buttons and multi function dials . Love the light bar on the front and the c shape rear lights not to radical from old model that’s great . The boot on 5seater is crazy big 910 liters love this car . Really impressed with choice of engines from petrol to mild hybrid then plug in to full eV and really like diesels has great choice to suit all customers and 9 different colors will certainly be ordering one of these beautiful cars absolutely got it totally right. The skoda kodiaq was a beautiful car and new model puts it in next level stunning from front back or side layout inside fantastic. Thank you for video petrol ped

I’m an Ev fan but I do agree with you it’s all about choice. The funny thing is Skoda was always looked upon a poor man’s Volkswagen. But not anymore. Look at the ID4 in comparison to the Skoda.

What a cool venue for a car intro! You looked excited to see this one, and I felt it. I miss Germany, too, so that’s a plus. Wouldn’t it be amazing if these vehicles were shipped to North America? That’d be cool, too.

This PHEV will more than give the Kia Sorento PHEV & the Rav 4 more than a run for the money. Only downside is the 3 year warranty or has that been upped

As expected not a huge change when a car is as successful as original, and at this early stage initial thoughts, great to see gear selector removed from centre location to steering column , but infotainment screen dominating central area of dashboard is what l call an intrusion, the Columbus system recessed into dash was brilliant .
😮Dash mounted switching needs to be increased. Glad door mirrors not been replaced by cameras.
Surprised by the additional body length.

Brilliant coverage on this lovely looking Kodiaq Pete, and great job on such swift editing ! Love the way they’re keeping physical knobs for climate control!
Can’t wait till you get your hands on one!
    Cheers, Tom

Well done Skoda, buttons, knobs and storage. I agree with you about the Yeti though. I’d have the hybrid as well and think it’s the perfect option for how I use a car ie lots and lots of local 20-30 mile journeys and occasional road trips to the south of France so I’d say that was the perfect balance .

Haha! As soon as I saw that first glimpse coming down between you all with that music, I expected it to demonstrate a new feature, air suspension, going up and down in time to the music like those American modded cars do! I have a 2017 Kodiaq and it’s the best car I’ve owned with a new price tag less than 60,000 at today’s prices. It needs replacing next year, so I’m very interested in this: either bought new or in its effect driving down prices of nearly new examples of the previous version. The Kodiaq does lots of things well. But it does three things exceptionally well. It big inside, the 4×4 versions are excellent in all conditions and even my 2017 version (diesel) is wonderfully frugal (always 45mpg and 55 mpg on the motorway fully loaded). At the price, it’s unique in the market and trounces its brothers and sisters on the same platform.

Thanks for bringing us along. It’s not often I watch a launch video and can say,’I’ve been there ‘. I look forward to seeing the car in the metal. Will you be covering the launch of the superb? If so when?

The wheel arch does look a little odd but maybe is to do with loading of the vehicle, 7 people and luggage will cause the back end to move down.
The majority wont notice it and those that do will forget about it pretty quickly

    Good looking car.
Be even better if it was 12″ lower! (I much prefer estates/wagons to SUVs).
Great choice of power trains too.

Well done on getting this out so quickly! I think you were right the first time on the IV model, there is no BEV version, so that’s the PHEV one. For me as a current passat GTE owner I’m disappointed this new generation of phev’s are persisting with this compromised drivetrain pushing the electric drive through a dsg box rather than making the 1.5 tsi a range extender to simply recharge battery and a decent size motor actually driving the wheels as the bmw i3 and Vauxhall ampera used to do. I find the dsg gearbox massively compromises the benefits of the electric drivetrain.

Really interesting new slim C pillar design almost a touch of Range Rover, it both makes the car look sleeker and reverses the trend to poor rear three quarter visibility and lack of light for rear passengers, shame the mild hybrid is not a full hybrid. Hope the carry over the same new styling to the Karoq.

Nice job in trying surroundings! Looks like a smart evolution of the model, very practical & visually nicer than comparable VW models in my view. Hybrid with decent EV range….the way forward! 👍👍

Nice car. More rounded in the rear as opposed to the first generation. My choice would be the petrol plug in.

Great Video Pete be interested if like other Skodas they have managed to gain extra length and inside space compared to their VW counterpart built on same platform.

    Hi Ped
Nice one. Love the way Skoda have moved ahead of the game and perhaps defeated the badge snobbery! Hope you will be able to review in detail in the not to distant future.

Peter, you have a great eye for little details on cars, which most of us would just miss, it’s one of the reasons I like about your great videos. Now I’ve seen the rear Wheel Arch shape on this Skoda, which you pointed out, I can’t un-see it now, I totally agree with you, it’s just looks strange, there is no Symmetry in it’s design, the rest of the car looks really great though.👍
